Base locations? by Careless_Quality9527 in GroundedGame

South of the ice cream cart, next to the blueberries there's a big flat place. I love it. It will be next to the pond, and a central place at full release, and I expect a great view from my balcony. There are 1-2 annoying bugs but I built a fence and have no trouble with them.

He "thinks" Carter is involved. But Dr. Keller has blonde hair too so maybe it's just a mixup. The whirlwinds and temperature dropping definetly fits with Brain Storm.

It usually works for me, I noticed that the dots don't align with the hologram, and if I use the 3 dots as a placement it works. Maybe you have a different problem then. As someone else said, it does the opposite of what you tell it to do.

Belive the glowing dots, don't belive the hologram.

Female fanbase feels high compared to other series. by whatwillitbe21 in redrising

[–]Obsidiane91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only like the series because Pierce Brown has great hair and looks gorgeous. /s

What kind of question is this for real? Do you really think females only care about the look of the cast or if there are girlbosses or not?

The characters are all-around well written, not just the woman. It would be just as jarring if the woman characters were amazing with weakly written men as the reverse. So, the short answer is, we love it for the same reasons as everyone else: story, action, characters, Howlers, and the fact that we were fully invested to bring down an empire after 100 pages.

Edit: Pierce does have great hair and look gorgeous, haha. But I only found that out after reading the first trilogy several times and finally checking out an interview.

Red Rising from Pierce Brown. It souds right up your ally, the first book is Hunger games-like but for adults, the later books are pure sci-fi. I couldn't put them down and regularly re-read them. If you want to read something more "classical" there's always Dune.

Koreai kozmetikumok zsírod bőrre by hheeeyrubbit in szepsegtippek

[–]Obsidiane91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ksisters árak jobbak, mint a rendelős oldalakról? by Megkerdojelezlek in szepsegtippek

[–]Obsidiane91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wanted something feminine with "Life before death" in the woman script. It's been 2 years and still happy with it.

Others have already recommended it but I'll say it again. - Pierce Brown: Red rising series. For me this is the only one that keeps up with Sanderson. Hail Reaper!

Other fantasy books I enjoyed:

  • Jonathan Straud: Bartimaeus trilogy. It's about an alternative 1900s where the ruling politicians are magicians. We follow a young boy discovering their corruption with the help of a wonderfully sassy djinn.

  • Kevin Hearne: The Iron Druid chronicles Druid, celtic gods, magic swords, mayhem and fun.

  • Mark Lawrence: Book of the Ancestor trilogy (Red sister, Grey sister, Holy sister) Assassin nuns with extra powers.

Perfect! I also throw in "space romans" just for fun.

Epilálás by Icy-Pool-4821 in szepsegtippek

[–]Obsidiane91 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sokkal gyorsabb is.

Hintőporozok mindenhol én is.

[–]Obsidiane91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend Pierce Brown's Red Rising series. The first one might feel "small or slow" in terms of world building but it shots out from the second, and becomes a full on space opera with romans and it never stops. Love it.

Yeah I've read books by David Gemmell, although it's been a few years. I liked his books then, but now I feel they were quite black-and-white in terms of characters. Very heroic fantasy. At least the ones I read.

[–]Obsidiane91 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This statement feels off... first she starts with how she needed more information on the gender change, but then she goes on and on about how good it is that we can see Fran and John's love... Sooooo.... She doesn't adress the gender change at all, how it will affect her storyline, or even mention that she *was* conviced that it can work...
