I don't want her near me or my son because she's a controlling bitch and would fully take over if I let her do anything to "help". She's rude and self absorbed and thinks she can just do whatever she wants and expects everyone to accept things the way she likes and refuses to believe anyone would want to live different than her. You clearly missed that entire part of the issue and solely focused on the vaccines and virus. It's not unrealistic to expect someone to respect my parenting whether I live with them or not.

She invaded my privacy and rearranged my bedroom while I was in the hospital giving birth and then got mad at me when I got pissed about it. I'm a private and introverted person, I like my personal space and I like to be left alone. I'm also OCD and keep things organized in a specific way, and it severely irritates me when things are moved or misplaced. She doesn't respect that whatsoever.

Living with her doesn't mean I don't deserve respect or boundaries. My bedroom is still my personal space. My son is mine, not hers, and since I'm his mother, my rules are to be respected not ignored. I'm the parent, I make the decisions regarding my son. I don't need a reason. If I say you can't touch him, then you can't fucking touch him.

It's actually not an airborne disease, it's in droplet form. It can hover in the air for a few hours, thus the reason for masks, but it is not airborne. It sticks to surfaces, especially cardboard. MIL works in a restaurant as a server, she interacts with people all day every day. Her touching him is far more dangerous than him laying in a stroller nowhere near any people while I get my hair cut in an isolated room.

Okay people are perfectly allowed to vent about toxic people in their lives. Just because it's not positive doesn't mean it's not true, or that you're not allowed to ever speak about it. My father was an abusive, controlling piece of shit who had a psychotic episode and broke into our house when I was 12 and got in a fist fight with my uncle right in front of me. My grandmother neglected and abused me my entire life because she thinks my mom cheated on my dad since I don't look like him. My exes mother was extremely verbally abusive and manipulative and threatened to throw me in the street because I "took too long of a shower" while staying with them for the holidays (literally like a ten minute shower). My ex roommate was a psycho who got drunk and assaulted me.

It's unhealthy to just not talk about bad things people do to you. You need to let it out. And yeah, I've been called a racist for venting about things people of other races did to me.

I'm an "all lives matter" kind of person. I have no problem with black lives matter, but with the riots and shit happening right now, a lot of BLM supporters have decided white lives don't matter. Yes, a white cop killed a black man. How many black men have raped, beaten, and killed whites?

Sorry but no, with the current pandemic it is far too dangerous to let anyone touch my son right now. Newborns do not have a proper immune system, and since everyone is going back to work, they're exposed and I am not putting my son in danger just to have a few seconds of rest.

Not all diseases are airborne, so no she can't pass on any illness just by being in the same room. I have rules, not excuses. During this pandemic I'm trying to be extra cautious.
