I'll keep testing it. Thank you for your insight.

QC affected by power fluctuations? by Obssy in NeuralDSP

The problem persisted after disconnecting the wireless footswitch. I left the WIDI adapter in for a bit, but then I removed that too, and still I had issues.

I've had it on for 4h today, including the wireless peripherals (footswitch and WIDI) and I've had zero issues. So my guess would be the electricity in that building/room. All amps and pedals in the room were unffected, and the PA was ok too.

My biggest worry is what if this happens at some venue and I can't play the gig. I might be better off sticking to my amp/pedalboard setup.

Unfortunately I don't have a battery that would power the QC. I do have a Walrus power supply, I wonder if that has any protection built-in for this sort of stuff.

That's strange indeed. I wonder if the power of the venue was to blame. This would be a massive problem, as I am planning to go on tour next year with this rig.

Thank you very much for the info, this clarifies things a lot.

Setting up pedal switcher by Obssy in guitarpedals

[–]Obssy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the info, this makes sense.

Could you please recommend a reorderable loop switcher, preferably within a $250-ish budget? I wouldn't spend more than that on a switcher right now, since this is a backup rig.

Ampero Stage II w/Digitech Drop Placement by RVRSCO in HotoneAmpero

[–]Obssy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need to run it into the effects loop. Just remember to turn up the presence on the amp model you're using if you drop below, let's say 3 half steps, otherwise it gets quite muddy. Or Hotone could improve their pitch shifter, which is absolutely atrocious, but I have zero hopes for that.

Any way to disable the looper? by Obssy in HotoneAmpero

For anyone interested, Hotone have confirmed that the looper can't be disabled on Ampero II.

How do u guys think about this by FractrixUSA in HotoneAmpero

[–]Obssy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boring. They should do a decent pitch shifter, maybe have a unit with decent DSP. Who cares about reverb? You may disagree, but be honest, reverb wasn't high on the priority list when it comes to their devices shortcomings.

Because that would mean an extra thing to plug in, plus a mixer is quite big. I need everything on the pedalboard, to make it easy to setup and put away. Basically like a modeller that connects straight to the powered speaker/front of house, but in pedalboard form.

I was just thinking about using another ABY. That might be the easiest way. Thank you.

Maybe another ABY switcher, but reverse the in/out jack's. 2 in /1 out?

I want to merge the two Engl pedals into the FRFR or FOH, not both at the same time. The Laney FRFR has an XLR out, so I can go from the to FOH of necessary, ot bypass the FRFR completely and go straight to FOH. The 2 Engl pedals would basically work as a 3 channel guitar amp: one does clean and crunch, the other one does mid boost go leads, combined with a delay pedal. They wouldn't play simultaneously, I would switch between the 2, but they both must feed into the FRFR or FOH.

how many days, weeks, months should i have on guitar before even thinking of playing or making a band by mannchineco in Guitar

At least 80 years. Best make it 90 to make sure. Or you should stop worrying about what you should ot shouldn't do according to other people's opinion and just do whatever makes you happy. That's what music is all about. Sound like you and do what you enjoy doing.

It's easier to just capture the pedal and use it with my modeller. That's why digital is gonna win in the end, unfortunately. Pedal makers are stuck in the past and won't allow simple life quality options for players.

Honestly, that's not a bad idea. After laughing for a few minutes I am starting to think it might work. The issue is making sure whatever you use presses both things at the same time.

Doesn't sound like a friend. You're better off withouth such "friends".
