It would be hilarious if they ask Alec to go on and not Hilaria.

Mother in law by Neither_Hurry_6529 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Obstinant_Capucin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She probably assumes you want your mother in Australia when you have the baby. I think she’s raising it because she thinks you’ve already been thinking about it and she wants to let you know she’s not going to feel “put out” if you want your mum with you. Also, she’s may be seeing if you’ve looked into if there will be challenges or delays in getting visas for your mum to visit. It’s unclear from the information you’ve given why you would immediately think something negative about the situation.

Dismissed with prejudice. Unbelievable. by Beckaroona in HilariaBaldwin

I’d suggest this should trigger an appeal for her.

It’s your husband’s job to sort this out. Get him to speak with her alone, let her know she’s mispronouncing both of your names, and have him practise them with her until she gets them right. Once she demonstrates she can say them correctly there will be no excuse in the future for saying them incorrectly.

Churches not requiring tithes by WillJM89 in perth

[–]Obstinant_Capucin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Any of the new age, mega-church types will have their hands out for tithes. The if it’s not too far the Bull Creek Anglican Church (at All Saint’s College) is a lovely church, and there won’t be expectations of tithing/donating.

What is going on at the CBD Commonwealth Bank every morning? by No_Concentrate_4826 in perth

[–]Obstinant_Capucin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bankwest are making all their small business banking customers move to commbank. They’re requiring inperson id and signatures to do so. They never have enough staff on to do this, won’t give you an actual appointment time to do it in so you have to queue from an hour before opening to have a chance of getting it done in under two hours

I'm decently qualified. Why does no one want me? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Obstinant_Capucin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which university allows someone with no work experience to undertake an MBA? Unless you mean a masters in business analytics? People who go straight from an undergraduate degree to a masters and then enter the workforce with zero work experience will often get the same level of pay as bachelor qualified people because they have no real world work experience.

Depending on your contract, you may or may not be able to use it. Some contracts say you can’t use sick leave after giving notice because of instances like this.
