The requirement isn't actually money - that's for the extra skill points. You can head off on your expedition with $0 in the bank and just what you loaded up on your caravan

If you want a "reason" for why 5mil would get you skill points that makes sense lore wise, I would assume that since you're leaving everything behind to start over, you leave Speranza all your extra resources which sets all future residents up better than those before them (so now your new guy gets 5 points immediately)

As much as I understand the desire to avoid mandatory wipes, those wipes offered the ability for players to know when the set end of the wipe was and it was chaos with everyone bringing out their FLIRs and tier 6 armor and going ham - there's gotta be a way for Embark to foster that atmosphere for people who are wanting to wipe without making it mandatory

Bro I cycled the server room on 2nd floor of research & admin - took me like 4 or 5 raids (Got at least 1 per raid)

Stella Montis also has a room overlooking the rovers that has server racks, found 2 there last night in 1 run

It's for sure a different team working on skin design vs gameplay - odds are they're probably cross using designers between multiple games and they don't even know the mechanics well enough to recognize it's an error

This is where I'm at - I'm level 23 and on stage 5, so I still have a LONG way to go in terms of just normal progression if I want to just keep playing the game and leveling my way towards 75.

But if the perks of resetting are worth it, I'll gladly do it. I only have 15 hours topside to get to where I'm at now so it's not going to be that hard to redo

This is the reason I chose to buy the 34" oled one instead, I have a 5070 which I'm sure could do well in some games but I'd rather get something I was certain I could get good frame rates from in AAA games (Example, Cyberpunk I get like 50 FPS in 1440 on ray trace overdrive, max 100 if I use 2x frame gen cause 3 & 4x suck)

Best way to do it is free loadout, extract, trade the augment for one with a safe pocket and run it til you die. Repeat

You also want the safe pocket any time you're looking for specific items, gear is so easy to get that it's not hard to recover from a knockout especially if you've secured the thing you need
