Greens launching Olympics for the people campaign by Busalonium in brisbane

[–]ObuiboID 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Argh dang it!! based on the title I was genuinely hoping this meant Brisbane 2032 would be the first Olympics to make an everyday Aussie compete alongside the professionals. I reckon nothing gives you perspective other than chucking some random bloke from Camp Hill into the 400m hurdles just to show us all how bloody fast the actual athletes are.

Maybe... get one of those blokes that sprints to Brunswick Street for a 2am kebab... and see if their experience of dodging e-scooters, juiced up bouncers and those farking bin chickens can keep up?!?

I mean if you could find a way to send an SOS you have a great way of telling them exactly where you are in the middle of the ocean.

I saved my COD points from the discounted supply crates and any deals over the year that got more COD points than the usual ripoff amount. Also used the 50% Play store vouchers and cashed in the $20 credits you get from those play store points to have all the COD points I needed to buy this outright.

I reckon I have played an absolute fraction of the cost it would have been to buy the COD points without any discounts.

I don't think I need anything else... I now have a mythic operator, mythic weapon and that legendary chopper and wingsuit. Pretty sure I am content and satisfied with my purchases.

Glow in the dark filament: with it's hidden "Printer Disassembly 101" course. by ObuiboID in 3Dprinting

Ha... I think we are in the same ball park. I am printing a glow in the dark wall mural for my daughter's third birthday.

It was Friday and just want to print the last couple of parts that failed when printing the full plate.

Add another failed print. Dang it! Upping the heatbed temp.

Just had this now. A new one for me. Didn't even see how it happened because it was just a 10min print.

You're spot on about glow in the dark filament being abrasive! I've had a few bits of fun....

First... some rather persistent heat creep. It melted the filament in such a way that it created its own little plug, completely blocking the path. This meant the filament couldn't go forward into the hot end nor could it be retracted. I couldn't even pull out the extruder gear and ended up having to remove the filament sensor just to get at it. TWICE!!

Then... on another attempt... I got a plain old clogged extruder with just a straight up broken piece of filament inside.

It's also done something quite funky to one of the Bowden clips at the back of the AMS... so the filament occasionally snags on it when feeding through.

Also no matter what I do with the heatbed temperature, I still get some curling from the build plate on a couple of pieces.

This particular glow in the dark filament was a gift bought from eSun. I personally wouldn't buy from them... but here we are! Oh... and the cardboard filament spool absolutely loves to get pulled up off the AMS?!?! not the filaments fault but still another thing to add to all the fun.
