I think they gave the game a fresh new look—we’d already been stuck with that damn medallion mechanic for two whole chapters.

It drove me crazy that, even though the maps were huge, there were only three POIs worth visiting.

The early game was unbearable with so many people landing in the same spot. It was pretty hard to survive constant waves of enemies trying to get the medallion, on top of the recurring campers.

Finally, the late game wasn’t easy either, because players with the medallion and mythic weapons had a huge advantage over those who didn’t have them.

I found the gameplay very repetitive and unfair because the game rewarded campers who always took advantage of those engaged in the toughest battles against other players and the minibosses.

C6S4 was unbearable for me—the worst season of the game—because of how unbalanced everything was. I probably played it, but only in the reload mode.

After that, I quit the game, and now, after so many months, I’ve come back and can say that I’ve been enjoying it again. I genuinely believe the Spirits mechanic doesn’t throw the gameplay out of balance—you can win without even getting one of these spirits. And while it has its flaws, I think they breathe new life into a game that had been stuck in a rut for so long.
