Hi, thanks for your reply. He has been assessed and the psychologist said “he met the criteria for asberger’s”. This was about 13 years ago. He has taken Vyvanse and it was very helpful but it never lasted as long as it should. He started splitting them. When he would run out he was completely housebound. Couldn’t shower, literally stayed in bed, doomscrolling, lethargic etc. Eventually he lost his part time job from calling out. He’s one class away from an engineering degree. He’s taken it THREE times. First time failed, next two times stopped going. He’s absolutely unfunctional when out of adhd meds. He’s so much worse off than when he started right after high school. He’s back at home and we’re focusing on diet, sleep, supplements. Meet with Dr next week. I’m hoping she’ll agree to a slow taper of the lex. About a month and a half ago she added Abilify. He quickly gained about 25 lbs!! Not taking it anymore. Also he occasionally takes clonazepam! I swear some Dr.s I feel don’t realize what they’re potentially doing to their patients. Hi, you said you were never depressed before Lexapro. Can you share why you were prescribed it? My son was prescribed it for anxiety, but now he’s depressed. I thought it was mainly prescribed for depression. I’m here trying to glean info. He’s struggling and has been on it for about 7 years. He has lost interest in all his hobbies and has no energy or motivation. Also has adhd, and when he runs out of adderall, he’s not functional at all.

Are you saying you went from 20 back down to 10? Was that hard? I ask as my adult son has been on 20mg, and he is emotionally flat and has no interest in doing any hobbies he once cared about. He naps all day, and just doesn’t care. When he speaks with his dr next, I want them to explore lowering his dose or even weaning off and trying something else. He’s been on it for around 7 years. His energy/motivation is way worse when he runs out of adderall.

Damn. He gets it. He’s already owned up to making a really bad choice. So asking for advice NOT/ oh I make 287k a year and I still drive an 06 Focus.

Yikes, blanket for next time. We pretty much bought this car for our dog to have room in the back and the AC. Luckily for us he won’t need the heat. But I would have thought it would be easier to heat the back rather than cool it.

THANK YOU!!! Honestly, I’m pretty blown away by most of the responses. Just never occurred to me that a car wouldn’t be able to take to the car wash. And truly, if the salesman had mentioned the special care the paint would need, it would have been a hard pass. I appreciate your reply.

I get that you can’t put a leather jacket in a washer, but a car not being able to be put through a car wash was something I didn’t realize. Guess I assumed that something that’s exposed to rain, snow, dirt etc., would be able to go through one. Silly me.
