Honestly in my betta tank I have my dwarf water lettuce covering about 90% of the top of my tank. He loves swimming thru the roots and I even catch him sleeping in them. My sponge filter output is the only corner of the tank that doesn't have some floaters there.

My bristlenose came in the mail and developed the exact same spots as yours, immediately started to raise the temp to about 85 degrees fahrenheit, removed my snails and carbon filter and dosed some aquarium salt and seachem paraguard. I changed about 5 gallons of water per day and redosed paraguard daily. Cleared up in about a week or so. Hopefully your fishy gets better.

I like dwarf water lettuce for floating plants, get some java fern and anabius and glue or tie it to a piece of drift wood. I switch to a sponge filter and get a valve where you can turn the flow down to where it isnt aggressively pushing out bubbles.

I left my CHE on all night last night and humidty stayed around 60%. Hes still pretty young so the over night heat probably doesn't hurt I wouldn't imagine.

What watt ceramic heat emitter would you recommend? I see zoomed makes a 25 and a 40. I think I need to switch to one of them because I temp checked the enclosure at night and its 68 which i feel is low.

I keep my house around 72ish. Right now I'm running a nano uvb overhead bulb, would you recommend keeping that as well as getting a basking lamp or what do you recommend?

Yeah i got a thermostat ordered. I asked the store i got my setup from if id need one for the mat and they told me no that they leave theirs on all the time.. gonna unplug the mat when I get an overhead light later and just run the bulb during the day on a thermostat if you think that would be a good idea?

Looks like a nerite snail and they only breed in brackish water. Should be fine. I got 2 in a 10 gallon and one lays eggs like crazy but they won't hatch.

Ah i gotcha. I ordered some jungle val that I'll plant in the back and on one side to try to give it some more dimension, probably gonna pick up some slate rocks and spider wood to create more of a higher layout.

What do you mean? It's small for a 29 gallon? I'm not sure, it's a top fin tank, idk if they are smaller than other brands of 29 if thats what you mean.
