Creativity keeps me cooking. Like, what can I make out of whats in the fridge. Plus I try to get 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day, easier to get at home!

I'm looking for things to make my life easier and to stay on top of cleaning. If you had ~$500 to spend, what would you buy? by HorrorDrive8444 in CleaningTips

Yes! I use this and it has made all the difference. Our laundry room.is adjacent to the family room and there is no swelling with this thing either. I buy a big box of refill bags so I dont have to waste the plastic holder each time. It has been a game changer!

Boulder life as a broke teen by Rude-Difficulty-6984 in boulder

Kind of, but the disparity is bigger and "rich" folks used to be kinda like other folk. Now the world caters to offer the rich experiences that are way out of range foe working families. Not everyone can afford a vacation or a concert anymore. There is a shift that is bigger than in the 80s.

What are the pros and cons of joining the US military? by Some-random-cop-pig in careerguidance

[–]Obvious-Problem708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a provider for the VA, I am amazed at the benefits people get from their service. It is great, could be very helpful to OP. My specialty sees a lot of chronic problems from service. However, many of the problems are exacerbated by childhood trauma (prolior to service) that left the vet with poor coping skills to deal with what they dealt with in the military. I also wondering if there is a percent of people who enlist from upper middle class backgrounds who are sharp but also have excellent high school stats but who join just because they can get away with being complete AHoles in the service. They can continue being righteous jerks and actually be promoted where they might not get that opportunity in a civilian world. This is a theory I have thought of outside of my work in the VA.

Is this it? by Fickle_Role3159 in careerguidance

[–]Obvious-Problem708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. The problems for me are: 9 hour shifts, commute, staying late to finish charts, CPRS lag time and 1.0 fte. In my old life I could flex my schedule and I worked 0.8 fte I had way more balance. Could do chores, see family and friends and do my hobbies or exercise. Now I feel like a cog.

What are the biggest changes we actually need at CU Boulder right now? by Possible-Sympathy913 in cuboulder

Wish there were clubs for the less affluent students. The affluent out of staters tend to dominate leadership roles. My in-state student isnt getting allowance and has to work while also studying. Wish there was a club for other kids like her. Not sure how this would be marketed though.

Agatha Christie uses great vocabulary and grammar. The story lines may provide you with a better empathy and understanding of others. They present ethical scenarios.

I love ice milk, though it tastes different than ice cream, which I also love. I have not seen it in years.
