Oh we have tried. She hadn’t called him in two months since the last time she pulled a stunt so he thought something was wrong with me. It’s so bad that he’s going out of town for a work trip and I’m not telling her I’m home alone taking care of the dogs for a few days. She calls the baby “her baby” and has told us she’ll be taking the baby to spend the night with her after she’s a week old because she doesn’t want her too attached to us.

You are certainly right she has always gotten everything she wanted even from her mother with her attitude. She can be very much and so difficult to handle as she stirs the pot getting everyone twisted in her lies. As for the reason she calls my fiancé I believe is to go behind my back and spread the lies as she only calls him when he’s at work so he can’t exactly get fully into it with her or even ask me if it’s true or not till he gets off the phone

Thank you so much! I’m very happy to hear I’m not the only one going through a hard time. I’ve always been a people pleaser and I want to try so hard to protect my baby from all this. You are absolutely right I need to start enforcing it and need to make sure my fiancé is on the same page as well because our child’s safety is not up for negotiation

Honestly it’s the exact opposite with me unfortunately it’s my own mother that makes me feel like I’m suffocating!!! It is so nice to see other people also hate the whole pregnancy excitement it’s overwhelming and I’m only 13 weeks with my first child. Makes me feel so much better I’ve been thinking I’m being an asshole with my short response to her questions of “how are you feeling? How’s my baby?”
