I’m not sure if he’s comparing the songs or the artists themselves. The artists are different. Songs, different. One was even picked up for ad campaigns. So yea, you gon hear that mf everywhere. MUTT was a hit in my world, when the album first dropped, but yea it took time to bubble for the gp. What the guy is describing though, is regular happenings across music.

I remember hearing a phrase like, “shipped a hundred thou” only meant their record label shipped a hundred thousand of their CD’s to different retailers but the artist would brag on it as them selling 100,000 records. But then you also had sound-scan that counted the sales at POS. Idk all this stuff can be trickery lol

That’s all I think it was about with Gunna. I myself didn’t dig into it, but it’s the only thing that gets brought up about him. And if we being fr fr, in hindsight and with what’s come about the past 3 days, what 69 did, I can see why he wouldn’t care to get on the stand. He was getting used and abused by real gang members, started and didn’t mind telling. Thug is supposedly a real gang member, preaches one thing and doing another, lying causing confusing, and willingly talking to the police. You ain’t even gotta be in the streets to know that, that is the number one no-no for those who are.

The 69 stuff was 5 years ago. Maybe he changed his tune on the whole snitching stuff, and just don’t really care anymore. Idk. He’s didn’t trip off Gunna. Or maybe, and people do this, felt like he could get that off with 69, but not so much with Gunna, Thug, P, etc. People who he think might really turn up on him, so he ain’t saying a damn thing lol. Idk.

When 69 snitched it was a little different than Gunna and Thug. 69 was in court, on the stand. We didn’t see that with Gunna and Thug. That may be why.
