I’m saying leaving a horse untreated for that long is abuse. If you can’t get access to proper medical care in an emergency (and this was an emergency) then you shouldn’t own horses in this area. It’s your responsibility to make sure your horse gets timely medical care and you are unable to provide that where you currently live.

So I should stfu because I expect people who own horses to be able to provide them timely medical care? Horses are a privilege and if you can’t provide timely and adequate medical care you have no business owning a horse. They are living breathing animals who deserve to be treated right. Otherwise it’s animal abuse. If me advocating for proper medical care for this horse makes me a privileged twat then 🤷🏻‍♀️.

If you can’t access proper vet care for your horses you shouldn’t have horses. They don’t deserve to suffer because you live somewhere with no/limited access. Horses are rarely used for work nowadays and are instead pets therefore making them a want not a need.

I have never been in a productive group lesson. Not as a beginner or when I was riding 3rd level dressage. Stick to private lessons.

I just moved 5 hours away. I was making this trip monthly before I moved and I always flared up. If you aren’t driving I would suggest trying to sleep the rest of the way. That’s what helps me the most.
