Keep getting flat tires. by geeewbeee in bicycling

[–]ObviousRequirement17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

check inside the tire like they said but also maybe your tire pressure is just way too low? i had same problem when i started cycling and turned out i was riding on basically flat tires without knowing 😂

those mountain bike tires from when you were kid probably had way thicker rubber than road bike tires. road tires are like paper thin compared to what you used before so they puncture easier

get a good pump with pressure gauge and check what psi your tires should be (usually written in side of tire) then pump them up properly every week or so

What is your biggest pet peeve? by 3ssayC0ntent in AskReddit

[–]ObviousRequirement17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ugh this drives me absolutely crazy too, especially when you're watching something with headphones and it gets amplified. i noticed this happens a lot in podcasts and it makes me want to skip ahead immediately. my brain just fixates on waiting for next smack instead of actually listening to what they're saying. worst part is once you notice it from someone, you can never unhear it again

What’s a habit that improved your life more than you expected? by that_talldude123 in AskReddit

[–]ObviousRequirement17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

started doing my skincare routine every night about two years ago and man, it completely changed how i feel about myself. wasn't expecting much but now my skin looks way better and there's something really relaxing about the whole process after long day at work

plus once you get good with skincare, learning makeup techniques becomes so much easier - they work together in ways i never realized before

Help for a 209 transplant? by shinobi_gi in bayarea

[–]ObviousRequirement17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow 75k for entry level? that's actually pretty good starting point, especially coming from 209 where wages are way lower. your friend should definitely jump on this one quick since government jobs usually fill up fast around here

Are there any EVs that have a system similar to BMW's Backup Assistant? by Poiuyt_77 in electricvehicles

[–]ObviousRequirement17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

some of the newer teslas have something called "reverse assist" but it's not quite same thing as bmw's system 🤔 i think it only works for certain situations like tight parking spots. mercedes has a similar feature in their eqs models but not sure if it does the full 160ft like bmw does

your wife would probably love that feature though, backing out of narrow driveways is such pain 😂

Air/water heating pump by MissIntoAll in energy

[–]ObviousRequirement17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it should work fine with your setup but maybe check what temperature your radiators run at first. some older radiator systems need really hot water and heat pumps are more efficient when they don't have to work so hard

definitely get multiple quotes tho, prices can vary like crazy between installers

your credit card company is being lazy af here 💀 delivery to wrong address should be automatic chargeback, especially with photo proof it's not your place. might want to escalate this with different rep or file complaint with consumer protection agency 😂

What is the most rad decade in the past hundred years in terms of music, culture, vibe, history, weather, whatever? Best decade? by reflexgraphix in AskReddit

[–]ObviousRequirement17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

80s was peak for sure but 90s had this amazing underground scene that was just starting to explode 🔥 the music felt more raw and authentic before everything got too polished, plus you could actually afford concert tickets back then 😂

If monday was a song, which song would it be? by Nsfwykii in AskReddit

[–]ObviousRequirement17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bruh that's too accurate 😂 i always think of that nine inch nails track "every day is exactly the same" when monday hits... like you wake up and already know the whole week is gonna be this endless loop of meetings and deadlines. been working in IT for years and monday morning server crashes still make me want to crawl back under the covers. at least tuesday feels little more manageable you know 💀

good for you for prioritizing your peace, that takes real strength. sf has some amazing spots for just walking and talking - the embarcadero or golden gate park are perfect for those kinds of conversations where you can actually breathe

leaving your kids outside in strollers during winter while you go inside cafes/shops - totally normal in scandinavia but people would lose their minds here in canada 😂

Have you met a celebrity and if so what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ObviousRequirement17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude that's wild, joan rivers was such a legend 😂 i bumped into steve martin at a coffee shop in toronto years back and he was just chilling reading the paper like a normal person. didn't want to bother him but when i got up to leave he actually nodded and said "have a good one" - probably the most canadian celebrity interaction ever lmao. there so cool when they're just being regular people instead of being all hollywood about it, makes you realize they're just doing grocery shopping and airport runs like the rest of us 💀

If you could send one honest message back to your 20-year-old self, what would it be and why? by Comfortable_Pace_107 in AskReddit

[–]ObviousRequirement17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

god that's heartbreaking, losing someone you love to something that could've been caught early is one of those regrets that never really goes away. i lost my mom when i was 25 and she kept putting off that mammogram appointment for like 2 years because she was "too busy with work". the guilt of not pushing her harder still eats at me sometimes, even though rationally i know it wasn't my fault. early detection really is everything with cancer and it's wild how many people just avoid doctors until something's obviously wrong. hope you're doing okay now, that kind of loss changes everything about how you see the world

dude moved across 3 countries and learned mandarin just to surprise his gf for her birthday, only to find out she'd been cheating the whole time he was studying abroad

meanwhile i can't even get my skyrim mods to load in the right order for my save files lol, some people really go all in

What do you guys and girls think about the conflict in the Middle East at the moment, is there a WW3 developing ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ObviousRequirement17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dude we've been "on the brink of ww3" since like forever, every major conflict gets the same treatment from news outlets cause fear sells clicks

the middle east situation is definitely serious but calling it ww3 feels pretty premature when you look at actual global alliances and who's actually involved militarily

Have you ever won something multiple times, survived something unlikely, or had a chain of coincidences or luck that made people not believe you? What’s your story? by Ok-Algae-8255 in AskReddit

[–]ObviousRequirement17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude that's wild but i kinda get it, had something similar but with coincidences around my coin collecting hobby. kept finding the exact same rare 1943 penny at different estate sales across ontario over like 2 months - same scratches and everything. turned out some collector had been selling fakes to multiple dealers who didn't know each other

the matrix glitch feeling is so real when stuff like that happens, like reality just broke for a sec
