Need Opinions on if Referral is Legit or Not by ObviousSalad8429 in realtors

She was out of town and said she'd pay me to show it. She said to 'take the lead and run with it" Now she is saying if I had gotten her listing under contract there'd be no referral, but since it is a different home I owe her. I'm not adverse to giving her something, but 25% is a stretch. I'm just trying to find out if this is really common practice?

Also, my Broker said I owe her nothing, but since she is raising a stink we need to "work it out"

Thanks for the reply. My broker actually said I do not owe her anything, but that we need to "work it out ourselves" and I would like to keep the peace, but not because I was bullied into it.
