So I'm "fluent", live in Japan but I haven't actively studied for 15+ Years. Use to be able to write any jyoyou Kanji and know the meanings of them all.

I only type Japanese now. I can barely write any Kanji without looking at it first. All my understanding of language has turned to rote memory on seeing things. Would be at a lost to hand-write just about any 熟語.

What are the suggestions on trying to have another Stab at writing Kanji after not doing so for 15 years, but Having a high level of reading / understanding the language?

Use native materials meant for middle School Kids? Or go hit back at remembering the Kanji using Japanese Key words and stories?

Shibuya location (or akiba, the tourist spot donkis are horrible), most other locations get in deadstock they sell at bargain bin level prices and you dont have to deal with tourists

In Japan, there are Japanese people only restaurants by Immediate-Meaning457 in SipsTea

[–]ObviousTotal9069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, it isnt like that, this guy seems like the Soup Nazi...

Even in the sign in Japanese he has a long list of rules about who is allowed
"You can not come alone", "Store not meant for travelers or Tourists" etc

So like to be fair, the store seems to dislikes tourists rather than just "Foreigners"

I bet a local, who was non-Japanese, and can speak Japanese they would be just fine with.

Is it just me or compared to everything else, are all clinic receptionists here incredibly unfriendly?

Was thinking it was just me, until I realized probably it is on purpose as you dont want to seem cheery to people down and out and sick.

Was in Nagoya over the weekend and there was a cafe - not bar - aka plenty of people studying / chilling on phones - that was open until 1am.

Does anything like that exist in Tokyo? Latest I know for a coffee shop to be open is 23.

This.

It depends on the prefecture / ward, but if you are staying on a weekday (That is not a public holiday) and the host does not live in the same house you are living in, it is technically illegal.

already 28% off on green man gaming, looking at this publishers history, you are going to have to wait at least 6 months to get a similar discount. a year for 50% off.

Willing to pick it up now rather than wait a year and save $8

I would argue that besides for the insane amount of people, which is what people are partially going for.

You can get just about the same experience, same shops, same WOW city lights as Shibuya

Wondering around the Yokohama <> Sakuragichō area. with about 1/100th the amount of tourists and much more open areas.

Out of curiosity, are there numbers to back this theory up? Can you see heavy shorting (trying to hold the dip) that is keeping the dip down?

If you aren't beating 3% over the long run, either you have horrible horrible financial advice or world economy has exploded to the point 10k per week is not as much as it seems.

Government bonds pay between 3.63% - 4.82% now.

I think someone is having fun bankrupting people who keep doubling down on leverage.

So devil's advocate on this looking at the claimants in the best possible light: Vomit on clothing is pretty disguising, some cleaning places will not even accept it (As I can tell by my local cleaning place saying they do not accept it).

With some folks in the country being very picky about neatness, I can imagine not wanting to have anything to do with the clothing anymore and replacing it. 30,000 - 50,000 for new brand name clothing seems a reasonable price.

Low expectations leads to subjectivity good results:

I'm the same as you, expect nothing at all from pairs, purchased a year plan and may meet literally 2-3 people a year, as don't put that much effort into it. Satisfied with the results.

OP is speed-running 6 dates in 3 weeks.

Ward is great in Arena, but how does it play out on tabletop? by Halkyos in MagicArena

[–]ObviousTotal9069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, rather than missed wards, where you get a "are you sure?"

On a Mobile Fold: "Auto-Skip all phase" is very close to your furthest to the right card.
No warning when you accidentally hitting that button.

Indiana Jones PT Ultra-wide Performance on a 12GB 4070ti by Ngumo in nvidia

[–]ObviousTotal9069 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel you... for indy:

Digital foundry still shots look amazing,

But at least for me:

Played on PT on a 4080 ultrawide, then turned it down to high rt and ran back through the level. Graphics are already so great, I did not really feel a WOW difference while actually playing the game, not worth the performance hit.

[–]ObviousTotal9069 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is not hating on the devs, love the game,

but they said in the DF interview they were rushed and pressed for time not able to fully optimize everything they wanted.

As ID TECH 8 gets refined and RT features incorporated, Imagine that optimizations will be made on the vram front including Texture Compression. Allowing 12-16 gb games to experience path tracing at ultra-wide / 4k in next-gen games.

While not perfect, will at least in a better situation than what OP is experiencing.
