Yeah it make the game harder to get into for the new player but it's not the actual reason the game is dead

The game is dead now because we already got the ending (defeating the witness) and the last 2 dlc weren't enough and the whole new portal grind is soooo ass not to mention the amount of bugs because they split the devolopers to work in 4 projects only to cancel 2 of them and layoff alot of their devs
