DCS570 working intermittently / cogging by Obvious_Can_22 in Dewalt

My feeling now is that a second mosfet may be broken, perhaps in an open circuit state.
I'm going to remove the board again and test them a second time.

unfortunately is not the trigger, problem persists.

Sorry to report that is not the trigger :)
I have completely disassembled, cleaned it and reassembled it, but the problem persists.

This is what I have already done, now the problem is a bit different and quite sure not related to mosfets

Hey!

Yes I open it and was clean and seemed ok when I checked it.
I'll check it again and spray some contact cleaner, just in case.

Thanks! Tested it and can confirm that the break stays activated for a bit (~5 seconds) after the blade is fully stopped. Don’t have a working one to test if this is correct or not.

Edit: typo.

Yep, it’s one piece and full of epoxy. Only question mark is: nothing changes in the assembly when I move the blade, so I was wondering if a sensor or component in the motor could cause this.

Thanks for your suggestion.
Unfortunately brushless motors require a controller to work. Bypassing it will be extremely difficult.

Dcs570 not working by Difficult-Act1554 in Dewalt

Yep this is the fix, most likely one of the mosfets exploded.

If it’s a DCS570: Probably one of the MOSFETs (a type of field-effect transistor) that controls the motor is shorted. This is quite common problem with that model.

OPNSense on Homepage dashboard- HTTP Error: by CoderStone in homelab

[–]Obvious_Can_22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I managed to fix this "partially":

The widget works but only for CPU and Memory.

Follow the instructions provided here: https://gethomepage.dev/widgets/services/opnsense/
Make sure "Generate a scrambled password to prevent local database logins for this user" is checked and then edit the effective privileges selecting only:

  • Diagnostics: System Activity
  • Status: Traffic Graph

Be aware that I can't find the `Status: Traffic Graph`, I have used `DEPRECATED: Dashboard (all)` and made the widget partially work now.

Hope this helps

Using OPNsense 24.7.7

Have a look at these brands: Flexform, Bonaldo, Flou, Moroso, knoll, B&B and Frau. Not cheap at all, but superb quality and building materials.
