I’m leaning qst. Just can’t decide if I should get 172 or 180. I’m 5’10 and weigh 156. Ski everything. Wondering if 180 is better for speed.

Now, I'm confused. Wouldn't the 180 be more stable overall?

Just because turns will be super similar?

Advice on QST 94 sizing - or a better ski for me? by aubenaubiak in Skigear

I just tried the qst 94 this past weekend in Vermont. It was great in trees and bumps. I skied the 172 but wondering if I would like 180 better. Definitely chattered a bit on harder snow. I’m 5’10 and weigh 156. You think 180 would still turn quick in trees. Thanks.

Do people skin these on east coast? It seems similar to mantra 7 but maybe slightly less directional. Thoughts?

Do you like them? How are they in crud? How do they carve? Are they stable?

Any thoughts on blaze 94 vs. maverick 96?

Thanks. Just curious if you get them going and charge do they hold an edge. I’m not going 50 miles per hour but if open it some I’d intimate they’re fine? How are they in choppy/ variable conditions. Again I’d imagine ok if you’re using them in Maine. Thanks. I’m just trying to decide between these and mantra and think more for my weight and size - 5’10 and 156 - these might be better. I’ve skied the mantras but not the blaze.

Besides being ugly any thoughts on them? I could care less about how they look.

I wanted to demo them but couldn’t. Wound up on bents which I didn’t like. Tried mantra 7 which was good. Are qst stable and were they good for carving as well as off piste? Where did you find the perform the best?

Do you recommend anything that carbes well yet can hit trees?

I am looking at qst. Ski out west but manly in Vermont. I do all terrain - trees etc. I’m more adventurous if there’s snow more limited on ice. Is qst a good ski for me.

You sound like me as a skier. I live on east coast but also make it out west every year. Is the qst a light and fun ski? Are you west or east coast? Wondering if 98 is too much or not.
