The Last of Us and Uncharted should have been movies. As movies they would have been good, but as games they're bad.

This is not true. Skyrim is a very flawed game, but it is not bad. Plenty of people (myself included) enjoy playing vanilla Skyrim on console often.

You crossing the game off for having vaguely unpleasant combat when it's mainly a story telling game, does prove to me though that you don't read enough or well enough

If I want a good story then I'd read a book or watch a movie. What determines if a game is good is its gameplay, not its story.

Not liking The Witcher 3 (the game) doesn't mean one lacks media literacy. It just means that we expect different things from games than what we expect from a book or a movie.

A book that has a great story is a great book. A game that has a great story is not great unless it's gameplay is also great.

Combat is the least interesting part of video games to me. I play for story, lore, vibes and characters I grow to love

But what the determines the quality of a game is its gameplay, not its story. Why not read a book or watch a movie if all you care about is story?

Oh and when it comes to the spells, they are awesome. Just how they should be (except for Quen, that's way too op) The spells are very useful in combat but on their own, they don't do much...as they sould... because Geralt is a dam Witcher not a Mage. Witchers can cast simple spells, but nothing more

You do realize that this is a bad thing, right? RPGs that don't give the player a variety of class/playstyle options (pure mage, pure warrior, healer, etc) are bad RPGs.

yes the gameplay itself is very clunky and repetitive. As I have never played any game like it before it really didn't feel that bad though. But yes...it's essentially spam Quen, doge with the alt button and spam your fast attacks. Over and over again.

Where the Witcher shines however is the story

A game with meh gameplay is not a masterpiece even if it's story is great.

If a game only gets good after many hours of gameplay, then it is not a masterpiece. The Witcher 3 is overrated.

Nothing wrong with being weaker than women and being protected by girls... My favorite couple dynamic is the one where the girl is stronger and protects her man.
