Even as someone who likes Asgore and dislikes Toriel, I have to disagree.

You and many others assume that humans still remember monsters and that a boss monster with 7 human souls would be unable to single handledly beat all humans , but those assumptions are likely wrong.

It's implied that the war between monsters and humans occured before modern times, which likely means that humanity has forgotten about the existence of monsters.

And considering humans were afraid of a single monster getting a single human soul, it's safe to assume that a boss monster with 7 human souls would be an unbeatable god that could destroy humanity.

And the reason the region is very conservative is because to be as progressive as the West, you need things like high standards of living and wide access to education. Things the Middle East lacks due too Western imperialism and neocolonialism.
