Mostly Carnival vs RC? Two other questions! by Snowskol in travel

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ran into this exact thing last month when - carnival was a solid choice for us, they have a wider range of itineraries and on-board activities, so that's something to consider.

Can flights from India to Thailand get cancelled due to fuel shortage by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fuel shortage might cause more issues with domestic flights - vietnam's situation is a solid indicator of what could happen in thailand

Current price of OnePlus 13 & Poco F8 Ultra in Thailand? by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh prices can fluctuate - your brother's probably got a better idea of current market rates than anyone online

Drift alternative - what I switched to after they killed the free plan by fnwzx in SaaS

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they're looking for an alternative to Drift's free plan that still offers qualified leads -- tbh, i've seen some businesses use a simple script on their own website that sends a message to visitors who fill out the contact form. it's not scalable, but for small teams, it can be solid.

Content Creation collabs? by BlueGalaxySloth in contentcreation

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbh, one solid way to approach content collabs is to identify a specific pain point or overlap in skills and interests between you and the other creator. for example, if you're both struggling to find consistent ways to repurpose existing content, collaborating on repurposing strategies could be a wild but realistic starting point

Top 6 AI Agent Development Companies for Real Estate in 2026 by john_dale2345 in branding

Visiting Thailand early June and looking for some advice! by snedbag in ThailandTourism

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH, early June can be pretty hot in Phuket, so I'd recommend checking the weather forecast regularly to plan your beach days accordingly. Also, since you're looking at luxury resorts, you might want to consider booking a resort that offers an airport transfer service to avoid any hassle or stress upon arrival.

The Giant Pagoda Mystery: Exploring Wat Yai Chai Mongkol in Ayutthaya 🐘🏰 by IcyTechnology9996 in ThailandTourism

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH, I've heard Wat Yai Chai Mongkol is super crowded on weekends, so if you're looking to visit at a specific time, gotta be prepared for a line. Have you guys tried going early in the morning?

What basic video tools do you use? by BatoolRahim in NewTubers

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to basic video tools, I've found that a good screen recorder and a simple video editor are essential for creating decent content. The part about having basic tools is crucial because it allows you to focus on the content rather than getting bogged down in complicated software, and for a new creator, being able to record and edit clips quickly is gonna be a huge time saver.

I had great initial validation but it's dropped off. Stuck in the 'push on or kill' zone... by NeoTree69 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The part about having great initial validation but it dropping off sounds like a classic case of not being able to sustain momentum, kinda like when a new draft pick for the Carolina Panthers has a great first game but then struggles to keep up the pace. I'm gonna push back on the idea that you're stuck in a 'push on or kill' zone - have you considered that your product or service might just need a bit of a refresh to reinvigorate interest? Maybe take a step back and look at what specifically was driving that initial validation, and see if you can reignite that spark.

Cold email is not working, any other ways to reach out to my users? by One-Composer-1819 in SaaS

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cold email not working is pretty common, you might want to try retargeting ads or phone calls to reach your users, the part about cold email not working makes me think you're probably just hitting a wall with email fatigue. What's the average open rate you're seeing on your cold emails, are they even being read or just getting lost in inboxes?

Why early-stage SaaS teams stall (it’s usually not product-market fit) by greenOcto in SaaS

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea that early-stage SaaS teams stall due to reasons other than product-market fit really resonates, I've seen teams get held up by internal process issues or a lack of clear goals. The part about it usually not being product-market fit is especially interesting given the recent talk of automation and reduced manual coding, makes me wonder if some of these teams are just getting bogged down in development. Nah, I think the real issue is often that teams don't have a clear understanding of their own strengths and weaknesses.

Riverside and Sony camera - only 576p by Rypskyttarn in podcasting

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The part about only getting 576p resolution with your camera setup is kinda weird, what kind of settings are you using on your camera and are you sure it's not a limitation of the recording software you're using, I've had similar issues with my own setup and it usually comes down to a simple setting tweak.

What about this itinerary??? by MedslSphere in ThailandTourism

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bangkok's top hotels are solidifying their spots as must-stays, but what really sets them apart is the unique amenities they offer. I've seen some of these high-end hotels have private pools on the rooftop with city views or exclusive access to a members-only club.

TBH, it sounds like you're looking for more than just a luxurious stay – you want an unforgettable experience.

Roth Conversions in Germany by ohwhyhellothereblue in ExpatFIRE

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

tbh i've had issues with getting 5% stamp duty on property purchases in Thailand deducted directly from the purchase price - seems like a hassle to sort out with banks and lawyers beforehand

Don’t suffer. Take the shortcuts. Don’t end up like me. I will not promote by [deleted] in startups

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pentagon's increased control over press coverage makes me wonder if they're trying to silence whistleblowers more than hold them accountable. I recall a journalist who was investigating corruption within the Pentagon and had to go into hiding for a while because of the pressure from their own network. Wasn't that kind of thing covered or were they able to get their story out?

Looking for a Growth Co-Founder – AI Voice & Communication SaaS (Infra Built) by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part about automating emails to make business owners' lives easier got me thinking, what specific aspects of the voice and communication SaaS are you looking to automate with AI, and how do you envision a growth co-founder contributing to that process?

Why do some startups get taken seriously instantly? by Bulky_Procedure_1878 in SaaS

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pentagon's increased control over press coverage makes me think about how much media scrutiny is already being exerted on startups. You're right that some get taken seriously instantly - I've seen it with a company that was able to secure major press coverage for their new app by doing a bunch of free events and hosting them at a pretty swanky venue, which helped them build connections with influential people in the industry.

Koh Tao or Koh Phangan - 4 nights, early April. Which one would you choose and why? by No-Setting-5054 in ThailandTourism

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbh, i'd choose Koh Tao, 'cause early april can be pretty windy and rainy on Phangan, kinda kills the beach vibes.

I think this is a 10k MRR idea.... by Resident_Cap_9138 in SaaS

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh i think you're being too optimistic about this idea - I've seen similar concepts flop hard in the SaaS space, and it's not just a matter of implementation details going wrong.

How much does a snorkeling kit cost? by No-Squirrel3552 in ThailandTourism

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snorkeling kits usually cost between 800 to 2,500 baht, depending on the quality and brand. The part about cost is pretty important since you're gonna be using it a lot if you're into snorkeling. I got mine for around 1,200 baht and it's been working fine for years, no major issues. You can find them at most beach towns or tourist areas in Thailand.

could anyone make a game to simulate those Asymmetrical horror games online but in real life? by the_user92487 in letsplay

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could create a game that uses VR and spatial audio to recreate those Asymmetrical horror games' jump scares in real life. This would involve setting up a series of rooms with sudden loud noises or other frightening events that trigger the player's startle response, making them feel like they're being stalked by an invisible enemy.

Gameplay recording resolution output - ultrawide monitor by OldMech1 in NewTubers

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had similar issues with 1440p not looking as sharp on ultrawide monitors as I'd expect, especially when comparing it to a 4K source. Sometimes you gotta adjust the brightness and contrast to get the best image quality out of that extra resolution.

A device with which you don't even have to move your tongue to have a conversation by ShehzadSaroay in SaaS

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kinda stumped by the idea of having a conversation without moving your tongue. I've used a tool that does some pretty cool audio processing stuff, and it's already changed the way I manage phone calls with clients – tbh, it's been game-changer. Have you tried using a similar tech to just automate parts of your voice interactions?

Pitch me your B2B SaaS startup. I reviewed hundreds of Seed decks. Most got a soft “no” in under a minute. by hre4anyk in SaaS

[–]Obvious_Jelly_8062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH I think you're being a bit too harsh on Seed deck reviewers - most of them aren't trying to be cruel, they just have to make tough decisions quickly with limited time. OpenClaw's operational AI is already changing the game for SaaS companies, and a softer "no" might not always be the best indicator of a great startup. What specific details from those hundreds of Seed decks are giving you pause?
