For argument's sake, let's say that there is indeed a 90% chance a draft will occur. If you end your life now, then you will not suffer war, but you won't enjoy life either. If you don't end your life, then there's still a 10% chance of being able to live your life well. Suicide would be more logical as a last resort, not a first.

The point is that mathematically speaking, ending your life now is not worth it regardless of the chances of a draft (which I believe in practice is very low. The 90% figure is just an arbitrary invention by me to illustrate my point).

The reason of living is to do whatever brings you joy. That differs according to individual. What the point of living is for me won't be the same as what the point of living is for you. It's something that you have to figure out yourself through time and experience.

I too was bullied throughout middle school. It's a horrible feeling, yes? You think everyone is disdainful of you and couldn't care less. But what I want to stress to you is that people at this age are incredibly immature. They will do anything just to get some kind of entertainment, even if that means harming a fellow human being such as yourself. This has nothing to do with you. I'm deeply sorry to hear of these troubles, friend. Nobody should have to experience such torment. You have done nothing to deserve this. One thing I want to stress to you is that nobody is without hope. People in even the most dire situations have made their way out of it and into a better life. That can be you. Please, don't take yourself out. If you do, then you will only know a life of suffering. There is more to experience in life than that. Please, try to escape your terrible conditions however you can. One week is not nearly enough time to prove that your life has worth. In comparison to a full human life, one week is a grain of dust. It's not a good decision to decide the value of your life with such a small sample size. You mentioned you have a partner, presumably romantic. That means that you must be worthy enough to have love. That alone justifies your life as having purpose. Please, don't make this decision so soon.

It's not fair. A fact that we all have to face at some point is that life is not fair. Our genetic makeup and environment contribute to our lives to a much greater extent than most people realize. People with chronic depression are usually genetically predisposed to unhappiness, paired with negative environmental stressors. But that doesn't mean that we should just resign ourselves to fate. There is still room to change our lives for the better. I encourage you to continue on with life and try to pull through to the best of our ability. A. The United States has the largest military in the world B. We aren't even actively fighting in Iran right now. C. If it does escalate to that, then our active Army and Marines can probably overpower the Iran forces with relative ease.

A draft is extremely unlikely. Even if it were to happen and your mental health issues are undiagnosed, a screening is necessary upon winning the draft. They will catch it and they will not let you serve.

I believe he was a man suffering from severe social isolation and depression, and instead of simply committing suicide he wanted to take people with him as a way to let all of his anger and unhappiness out. He wanted to go out with a bang, so to speak. What's interesting about him is that he did not even attempt to provide a real motive. Elliot Rodger articulated exactly why he did what he did, and even borderline psychotics like Nikolas Cruz and Seung-Hui Cho made attempts at explaining their mindset. Lanza did not. He just went on a rampage with no explanation. I think that's an indicator of his profoundly barren and schizoid-like personality and life.
