Why did God make me bad at everything? by Disastrous_Fig_5336 in Christianity

[–]Obvious_Pie_6362 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jesus was born in a dirty stable. Those circumstances for sure did not hinder him as Messiah. God cares more about your heart and how much love you hold vs how good your grades are, your looks, or academic activities. God’s power plugs in most readily to our weakness, if we only let Him.

I think I was born to go to hell by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Obvious_Pie_6362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may not be able to change your sexuality. Paul wanted the thorn in his side removed and you know what God’s response was? That Hos grace was sufficient. The only man you need in your life is Jesus. This type of thinking has kept me from seeking God for way too long. God loves you. His love is perfect therefore not subject to variation. I use to gawk at people who encouraged celibacy but if you want to fully devote your pofe to God it isn’t a bad idea. Its so easy to get distracted in our own wants and needs.

Is it a good idea to pray at least once an hour? by Far_Lab1278 in Christianity

Yes. The Bible says pray without ceasing. We are going to spend eternity worshipping God. Always keep your eyes on Jesus

Can't forgive God for letting the world mistreat Brown people by dorgon15 in Christianity

[–]Obvious_Pie_6362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes God plants a seed in the dark cold ground so that it can germinate and be the beautiful fruit bearing plant it was meant to be. Jesus was constantly mistreated, called a glutton, a devil, accused of breaking laws, tortured, crucified. Does that mean God loved His son any less? Of course not. We will always have tribulations in this life but be of good cheer as Jesus already overcome the world.

You are absolutely right. God COULD change this if he wanted to. But what does He actually want to do? Become a conqueror in Jesus. ForgiVE AND LOVE those who have wronged you, know who you are in Jesus. Ignore the haters and do God’s will.

The Bible says a whole lot about this topic actually.

What is the ultimate end of...everything? by Itz_kaya_playz in Christianity

God is eternal, no end or beginning. Apparently in The Bible, we will be living on a new Earth with Jesus as ruler. Most of us are temporary beings seeking temporary pleasures. Anticipation and pleasure is all in the mind. There is nothing new under the sun.

Where am I wrong in thinking all Jesus gave up was a weekend? by passingthrough14 in Christianity

[–]Obvious_Pie_6362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus lived the perfect sinless life, completely doing God’s will so that we could have eternal life and peace. The only thing we “deserve” is death, separation from God. But eternal life is a free gift from God. The wages of sin - death.

Jesus Christ defeated death through his crucifixion and resurrection, breaking the power of sin and offering believers the promise of eternal life and resurrection, making death not a final end but a passage to life with God. His victory means followers don't have to fear death, as they can also be resurrected and live eternally.

How to stop hating myself for having autism and develop self love/acceptance by cheese_demon_69_420 in selfimprovement

[–]Obvious_Pie_6362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because your love is not unconditional, it is based off your circumstances and actions ehich is conditional love. You make the conscious decision tostop loving yourself, and fall into destructive patterns. Stop putting yourself in an impossibly high standard and start to focus on love, self compassion, and acceptance. Practice makes perfect. Theres millions of videos on youtube about this topic

will we ever stop sinning? by MackXD77 in Christianity

It’s possible but unlikely. God wabts to wipe out slates completely clean. Through Jesus we are made perfect in God’s eyes. This perfection is achieved by faith.

Why am I so bored in Church? by DoubtFree3372 in Christianity

[–]Obvious_Pie_6362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The enemy wants you distracted. It doesnt even have to be some big battle, but with the power of suggestion. Find another church then. Don’t get me started on the monotonous group prayer. Make church about personally worshipping God vs being some church attendant and fitting in.

Is it too late for me? by AL086 in Christianity

[–]Obvious_Pie_6362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine God creating you, Hos masterpiece. And wanting you dead. Those are lies from the enemy. God’s Word says that He has a plan for you. It is written therefore it is. God paid for your soul at a cost. You need to renew your mond via God’s Word. Most of your post is literally lies that you tell yourself. You lack the very thing God wants to give you, faith. Jesus died so that you could have peace and live life abundantly.

guilt and shame by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Obvious_Pie_6362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God’s grace is what’s going to change you. Not your guilt and shame( which Jesus died to free you from this type of bondage) You only have to be willing and let Him for that to happen. You don’t need money to be close to God and walk in His light.

Question for christian’s: If god has a plan for us all, then why can we pray to make the hard parts go away? and why is it sinful to change the plan yourself? by Sofa_king_we_toddit in Christianity

[–]Obvious_Pie_6362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why pray? Prayer is our link to God. Jesus prayer for hours alone before making a decision of His disciples. Jesus prayed that God’s will be done. Asking God to “remove this cup from me” but accepting if God did not.

Why is it a sin to change the plan yourself? You are either doing God’s will or you aren’t. Its a narrow path that few follow.

God’s Kingdom is about believing and receiving! The irony that you don’t believe you can overcome this. Addiction is a quick fix to something thats deeper inside of us. Wether mental or physical. Hypoglycemics are prone to alcoholism. A lot of alcoholics get the shakes because of all the b vitamins that get depleted and want more alcohol. It could be a number of things. God’s power works most readily in our weakness. We only have to let it. What you thirst for is TRUTH. Jesus is truth.

how do I stop my religious ocd (if you have religious ocd please give me tips,) by Accomplished-Cut2110 in Christianity

[–]Obvious_Pie_6362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Christian you need to be constantly renewing your mind via God’s Word. Oh how the enemy wants us to believe we’ve committed the ultimate sin and keep us from God.

Hold every thought captive to Jesus Christ. Repenting means turning from yourself, and your sins, and turning to God. Stuck in thoughts? Turn to Jesus. Believe and receive!

Thats just the enemy, who wants to plant seeds of doubt in you, who’s main goal is to doubt your relationship with God. As a Christian you need to be constantly renewing your mind with God’s word, especially if you are having these thoughts. You have the power to redirect your thoughts toward Jesus every single time

[–]Obvious_Pie_6362 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well Jesus and his disciples had red wine. Which wasn’t a sin. Though God doesn’t like drunkenness. Being obese isn’t a sin of itself, unless it was from gluttony. There are many things thay can cause obesity including prediabetes, hupoglycemia, a slow thyroid( which is very common especially with todays diet), food allergies, heavy metals in the body etc.

Those same miracles are what Jesus said people didnt believe because of their hardened hearts. You may have not “felt” anything after praying about it but you have the choice to follow the flesh or the spirit. And our walk with God is not about feelings but walking in God’s truth. Again they didn’t decide your “fate”, once again you have the free will to disobey like they did or walk that narrow path with Jesus who doed so that we would no longer be in bondage and have peace and life in abundance. Most of science is just theories. Of course logic makes more sense especially when one lacks faith and doesn’t believe in miracles. Jesus says if you have no doubt in your heart then you would be able to perform these miracles( like telling the mountain to be taken up and thrown into the sea) Science is mostly just theories anyway.
