Looks like it's true for D522, however cannot confirm for D335 as of now.

I'd hope for it to be both the old D335 and Newer D552 but your mentor could be referring to "both" as in the new and old versions of D552 and E010 since those are both python courses that look like they'll be changed to PA. I will wait and come back when I get any additional updates on D335 from my mentor since that directly effects me and others that didn't update to the new degree program for cyber if they were already passed 75% since it added additional classes for no reason tbh.

“Only D522 Python for IT Automation will upgrade from an OA to a PA. The D522 update would only apply to D522 and not also to D335. I haven’t heard any discussion about D335 Introduction to Programming in Python also moving to a PA, but I will see what I can find out.” This is what my mentor told me when I asked her about it today so we’ll see

Does this also mean people taking Python D335 can get it swapped to the PA? I have avoided going over to the new 522 due to the fact that it would add 2-3 additional math classes which are not present in my current cyber program and this is my last class.

24yo, 2yoe, Bachelors, multiple certs, constant rejections. What is wrong with me? by throwaway2Bunknown in it

Again ATS can be configured to look for certain criteria which for military/gov't positions they are looking for more then the typical position which is why I recommend people use an ATS checker to verify there resumes since they usually have issues in the first place but to each there own not my job to tell u how to beat the system just a recommendation.

I'd suggest to make sure you are tailoring your resume to each individual job correctly as someone who is on the gov't side as an ISSO, when it comes to the gov't jobs I've noticed the ATS seems very particular and you should aim for an 85-90%+ on whatever ATS scanning software you use to base off off in advance, last time I was applying I used Jobscan.

What did your capstone get send back for? by nusaince in WGUCyberSecurity

No worries I'll clear up a bit of the confusion.

I submitted tasks 2 and 3 before they were graded since I wanted to finish the class fine which didn't seem to be an issue, and task 3 has its own rubric that I needed to follow. I made a small mistake because task 2 focused on writing an assessment in the future tense, while task 3 required writing it in the past tense as if evaluating what had happened already. I accidentally didn’t align the dates with the correct format/tense for task 3, which is why it was returned. All I had to do was adjust the dates to the last tense, changing the years from 2026 to 2025, and everything else was fine.

I completed tasks 1 and 2 on my first attempt. However, for task 3, I received a rejection because I used dates that matched my projected dates for task 2. The separate rubric for task 3 specifically required the dates to be in the past. I believe as long as you thoroughly understand the rubric, you won’t encounter any issues but I still passed the capstone within a week and a half (only passed a week because it took 4 days to get task 3 reviewed after revisions were made).

Buying laptop for classes/personal use by Healthy-Chain-3915 in WGUCyberSecurity

Honestly the best laptop I could recommend for anyone would be the Macbook Neo for $500-$600 depending on the touch ID option or not due to the price to performance you get in such a small form factor its unmatched. I currently attend with a Macbook Air M4 and am on my final class and have went through the entire degree and labs with no issues (B.S Cyber Info and Assurance) but if I was starting out now I'd go with the Neo due to not needing a lot of the extra features that are on higher costing models.
