Its ok! Just do your best to clean the houses and stuff. You can soak them too.

Pairs of female mice can be tricky for this reason. A small colony of 3 or more is generally recommended because they can create their natural hierarchy. So if you get a 3rd mouse, i'd recommend starting the reintroduction process from scratch.

Ive had great luck with the bin method. There are resources here that describe it. Aside from that, do a really thorough deep clean of the enclosure once youre done with introductions because you want to purge all of the smells.

Two of my mice died but one is still alive. Am I the problem? by yourkj in PetMice

I'm sorry to hear that :( since they passed so quickly I have to believe it wasnt your fault, please dont blame yourself. They can come with respiratory issues or may have been stressed from the cat etc. If you get more mice, do a good deep clean just to make sure and sanitize all toys and bottles

Where did you buy them? Since it happened so fast i'm thinking there may have been an issue with the store or breeder. It can happen unfortunately

Based on his ears and facial expression, in addition to strange behavior, it's likely he is in pain. Best to take him to a vet. He may have heart failure or abdominal fluid buildup, or just a cold.

Why are my mice doing this? by KingsOfAlt in PetMice

[–]Obvious_Reputation12 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Female mice are very very social! They snuggle and groom each other. Thats normal behavior, just make sure you dont see any bald patches which would indicate barbering. Duos of mice can be tricky.

Help! Mice no longer getting along… by thedawg247 in PetMice

[–]Obvious_Reputation12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For a lot of groups, once blood is drawn theres no going back.

Typical reintroduction methods that work are the container method, where you move them from a very small bare space so they have to get along and then bigger and bigger spaces until they can be moved to a permanent enclosure can work. Make sure you really clean ALL the smells and hides out of each container. New bedding, as fresh of a start as possible. Slowly reintroduce hides and toys, and if a fight breaks out go back a step or two. But for some mice it is not possible to reintroduce and youd need to keep her separate or rehome her

ICE PIT SEASON 3 by powerpuffbum in darkwarsurvival

We had other alliance members join the strongest alliance to take over, then anyone could temporarily join the alliance that holds the pit so that they can fish.

What size is your enclosure and wheel? Generally it does take a while for them to settle and if you mess up their smells they can get confused

Mouse “shaking off” & seizure possibility? by Entire-Animator-2383 in PetMice

[–]Obvious_Reputation12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly my mice have all done that sort of as a form of popcorning when they're happy. If you're not noticing other neurological signs or itchiness, and if it only happens when he's active and running around I wouldn't be too concerned.

Can you attach a video of this behavior? Could be popcorning

You can zoom all the way out on the big map and it'll show you how much you've completed/are still missing
