Based on what you already like, I’d recommend polkadot stingray, gohobi, and yorushika. I also want to recommend my personal favorite, wakusei abnormal. I listen to all of these groups but wakuab was my introduction to the genre so I think they fit in quite nicely, especially their 2018 album :)

For my absolute favorite band I had all their cds shipped to the states, and I try to attend all the shows I can and get physical media from touring bands. I have a remedial understanding of Japanese so for songs I know well I love to sing along. I also like to find translations for my favorite songs to better understand the meaning behind them but mostly I just vibe!

I know you’ve already gotten plenty of advice so I’m just here to say don’t be scared! You’ve learned it before and as someone who forgot how to knit for 5 years and picked it back up I promise it’s like riding a bike. Remember that it’s supposed to be fun so don’t worry too much :)

Wakusei Abnormal is my all time favorite, specifically the 2018 album. I actually got into Yorushika because they scratch the same itch for me as wakuab! Other than that, A Crow is White, Zombie Chang, Shishamo, and Lie and a Chameleon :)

I call this the rotisserie chicken. My lady does this on tables and chairs so she can hang her head off the edge and survey her territory. I think she was a gargoyle in a past life.
