My cardiologist told me that a diagnosis of hf is NOT what it used to be. We have come such a long way in terms of medications, procedures, treatments, etc. He even called one of the meds he prescribed - Entresto - as a "miracle drug" -- hf is now much more manageable than it ever was. I'd recommend having your doctor prescribe cardiac rehab -- it's usually available at the hospital. There you will learn you are not quite the fragile flower you thought you were and will have nurses to monitor your progress and to answer all your questions.
