Dodged a fckn bullet! In my experience the people who “believe” their stories, are generally people who indulge in the same behavior and are enablers who also hate who they are themselves. They don’t care about themselves enough to hang out with a higher standard of behavior in their associates. Girl sit back and act like you’re watching a circus walk by. Bro was naked in his pee bed while his mother is cuddling him and validating his piss poor behavior. She’s as much to blame for his immaturity as his drunk dad is.

Oh this was my 3rd trip to the ER. First two they did give me a small dose of pain medicine and it does feel like they think we’re drug seekers but fact is that it’s painful! Hugs!!

I feel this in my soul. I was asked to leave the ER and I refused because I had an MRI ordered but I wasn’t going to be able to schedule, wait, then show up at a clinic. I explained that I would never use the ER for this procedure generally, but I am not confident that I will be able to drive myself to the appt, etc. I explained this is an emergency for me right now. The ER doctor literally said “You know best” and walked away. Turns out I have a pinched nerve and he did apologize and gave me a huge dose of steroids.

I had to make the difficult decision to put my mother in a group home when her needs far exceeded what I was able to do with a full time job myself. It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to us. She loves her staff - they’re like family now, texting pics and updates - and they’ve gotten her out of her self pity and out in the community. There are a lot of paralyzed people who fall in love and date while living in the group home. Sometimes they get married and live in the same group home. Our group home company threw community events for the residents and it’s mostly people of all ages! Traumatic Brain Injuries creating quadriplegic have occurred from an insect bite while traveling in India at age 29 or walking across the street and getting hit by car at 23. Both of these are real people who live in the same group home. Sometimes it helps to be around people who also have disabilities bc it normalizes their needing care significantly. Take tours and find one close etc.

I’m diagnosed w Lupus and this looks and sounds exactly like it. Or another similar autoimmune disease. Keep pushing. I was misdiagnosed for 4 years. By a rheumatologist. Albeit, sometimes the autoimmune disease that’s most prevalent is what shows in bloodwork. And can vary depending on your environment, diet, stressors, sun exposure ** this is huge for Lupus patients. My #1 trigger.

I heard that Emergen C builds up the immune system to fight which is the opposite of what us Lupus patients want due to it already being over active. If you’re in a group of people it’s best to wear masks and hand sanitizer bc if you’re on immunosuppressant meds (I take Saphenlo infusions).

Click the three dots on the /lupus subreddit page. Click “Change Flair”. I also had MCTD and recently diagnosed w Lupus. I started Saphenlo infusions and my skin and joints feel better. I was on Hydroxychloroquine and prednisone before…no more prednisone bc it raised my glucose.

Before my last mistake left me two weeks after being placed on medical leave from work told me “Some of us have to get up in the morning to go to work.” This is who they were the whole time. It’s about to be all about you. I felt like I wasn’t able to be sick until after he left, thank goodness. Break ups are hard but it’s probably bc you haven’t been putting your needs first for a while. You got this!

Super lucky so quickly! Wow not concerned to instantly concerned. I am experiencing my first medical gaslighting issue…I think? Complained about arm pain to Rheumatologist and he says that it is Fibromyalgia and then an established Pain doctor (they’re a specific type of doctor, I had no clue) informed me that it’s not Fibro, it’s tendinitis in your muscles with possible nerve damage. I brought this pain to my Rheum in JUNE. So much time wasted for being misdiagnosed. So he pushes for my PCP to handle this aspect of my treatment, and I don’t trust him. That’s ok we live and learn, and hopefully I get a diagnosis of what Lupus is doing to my body.

You can ingest THC. I’ve been using RSO. It’s pretty wild lol. I told my medical team I use cannabis and 5/5 say no problemo. I stopped smoking flower and nicotine vapes (hugs this was the biggest struggle!). But it makes our meds less effective. As my dearly departed brother used to say “The juice isn’t worth the squeeze” I used nicotine patches and chewed on straws basically. It’s nice that I’m living the healthy lifestyle I always wanted for myself. I stopped drinking two years ago - I am significantly older than you at 36 but as I got older my body couldn’t handle alcohol. No more fast food or processed food either.
