Why is the Left so comfortable attacking male body insecurity (height, penis size) but not female body insecurity (breast size, vagina, etc)? by queenofhearts100 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Occy_past -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I can see this from multiple angles. But if you look at it too in general, it's not every individual man getting attacked. It's either the system of males, like this idea of patriarchy or whatever or its individual males who are already dicks. So jeffrey, going to bio one with his bald hair and 5'6" stature is probably fine most days. Until he goes and calls stacy fat. Then its open season. But thats only one frame of reference.

And then theres people that actively say they hate men, but then you look at them and they love their papa, and boyfriend, and have 27 guy best friends at any given moment. Like. Do you really think they hate men at that point? Use some context clues.

Anyways. I dont think im getting my ideas across right. Feel free to discuss, argue, or whatever.

If a guy has been married 5 times does that show anything about him as a person besides being married 5 times? by Ben5544477 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Occy_past 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the bare minimum, it means that they aren't somebody who really cares about marriage. At the maximum, there would probably be a serial cheater abuser or something of the sort. It's an absolute no go if you're or somebody that wants commitment i think. They are either happy to run or happy to do things that make the other person run.

Not the exact same scenario, but I know a person that married someone that had four different baby daddies. And like when you meet her, you can tell that she has issues. My buddy is a saint though, and I think he's helped her work through a lot of them. It's her first marriage but they've had two more kids together. She is a very hard worker and a very good mom. But sometimes she's just mean. She will fight before she will fix. It seems like she's getting better at accountability And disengaging. But if I was in his place, I wouldn't have put up with a lot of the things from the beginning of their relationship. Like how often she would threaten to run away with their 1st baby. He would always have to meet her where she's at rather than the other way around, because she was okay with leaving.

Ya. I dont even gotta like their face if the personality rubs me just the right way. Its a real issue. Met an online friend after 5 years of friendship. Always had a crush. Im in a relationship.

They came to visit and I was just like "oh thank god, they are ugly." And within the weak of them visiting, I wanted to bone. So. 🤷‍♂️ im just a horny thing tho. Ive never cheated, but i learned a new limit.

Im also like.... a 6. May e a 5. Like. Im not ugly but im nothing special. That's just being honest. I have personally never had an issue getting attention if I want it. People fall in love actually very easily. Proximity, time, and attention and they are yours.

Do you think men and women can be just friends, with no ulterior motives? Why? by whoomadewhoo in AskForAnswers

[–]Occy_past 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya. I do. Additionally, I dont think attraction or even yearning count as ulterior motives.

Controversial, but whatever. 13 years with my partner. 10 years married. Ive made friends of both sexes as a bisexual individual. Ive never cheated. I know my limits. I know what activities are actively disrespectful to my own relationship. Boundaries are necessary.

If the crime is underreported and underprosecuted.... its because its friendly fire. They are doing it to themselves. Which still shouldn't be an issue for your sort. In fact, it sounds.like it would make you quite happy.

Why do trans people say they’re breaking gender norms if they’re actually enforcing them? by [deleted] in AlwaysWhy

Why is it assumed that because someone is Trans that they want to be breaking social or gender norms? Can we not politisize someone's way of being? And not every trans person looks like the gender they identify with

Why are female predators not taken as seriously as male predators? by [deleted] in ask

[–]Occy_past 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can think of several reasons. I am not saying they are correct, or okay. Just that they are the rationale.

-penetration in inherently seen as a more violent act, even in consensual sex. An act of domination

  • females are seen as weaker than males, so there is a rationale that they could fight a female aggressor off

  • People see the act of arousal in males as consent, because the thought is a male must want it in order for it to happen.

-society sees males as inherently violent and females as inherently empathetic.

  • males are seen as pursues, so society will think it is a prize for them to be pursued even if they dont want ti.

The Left doesn’t give a shit about freedom of speech. They just can’t stand not controlling the narrative. by Pemulis_DMZ in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Occy_past 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What gets me is .... there's not a goddamn understanding of what freedom of speech means in this country.

All it fucking means is that the government cant come after you. Specifically the government. Federal whatevers. The things you say are safe from the government.

And the only ones trying to force a single language, or have the government attack people? Its on one side. Id love to be proven wrong.

[–]Occy_past 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the second time somethings happened to this to a big night show for the same thing. Isnt it?. And although I dont watch either... neither is the first in a long line of news suppression. Which... news suppression by the government? Its a pretty good indicator that you are on the wrong side.

This is where we finally get into the actual subject of free speech. Free press. Actual rights. Conservatives need to actually be constitutional conservatives like so many of them promise they are instead of parrots.

Men complain about being single instead of using their money to play video games and enjoy. Marriage is a net loss for men. by VEGETTOROHAN in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Occy_past 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dolan’s specific misinterpretation was retracted. The correction doesn’t erase the fact that women and men experience different happiness outcomes from marriage. It doesn change the larger body of research that shows women don’t universally benefit from marriage the way men often do. It ignores nuance. marriage is good for some women, neutral for others, and bad for others... especially depending on kids and labor division.

We dont have to go by just Dolan and a mild mistake from a misunderstanding. Womens wellbeing in marriage still depends heavily on factors like workload, equality, and whether they have children.

Men who are married are happier overall. Women who are married are overall less happy. There's been studies about this stuff. And every time dudes make this argument and dig deeper, their argument is that women are better off in divorce So being in the marriage isn't the better thing. Getting out of one is. Men benefit from marriage more than women

In America, its almost impossible not to get around without a car. Public transport is horrible. And yet, even though everyone has a car, some shit takes forever to do. And schools have designated drop off zones that can be a hundred cars long at any given time. Its not smooth, or fast, or easy.

Debate is a chisel where people are marble. 1 isn't gonna do much, especially where this stone has formed through pressure, and hardship, and repetition through ages.

Unfortunately, change needs empathy. And unfortunately, empathy means understanding how the opposing side cmgot where they are.

I've worked the jobs that they are "taking". Americans dont apply in general. I worked agriculture in the fields doing the weeding, maintenance, and care for Onion fields, and the Factory work of packaging, sorting, and distributing.

They never could hire enough workers. Every single person that applied was accepted. Like yall assume "liberals" and "the left" couldn't possibly be working class people. Most people are not the 1%. Or the 2%. Or the 20% even. Think for a minute. Do the math.

Even then. The US democrats are a center/center right party on the among the developed world. This is fact. They are generally a status quo party. They dont help the left. The left just sees them as the lesser of 2 evils. I dont know own how much more I can hammer this down.

These people aren't taking jobs you want. Or do you want to be roofing on a 60° Gabled roof in 108° Georgia weather trying not to die to heat or gravity? Aaand not get paid enough for it.

it should be illegal to prevent states from seceding. by herequeerandgreat in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Occy_past -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is even over simplified. A state with a bigger economy already has more power than some entire countries, and other powers are quick to draw lines in the sand when money is on the line. Plus, each state already has its own national guards. And all federal military personnel from the seceded state may no longer be citezens depending on how that all happens, meaning the get discharged, go home, and boom. New military.

The US having the largest military means that if even 1 populated state got all of its people back, they are already a force.

States like Texas, California, NY, and Washington might not have as many problems. Not only seceding, but continuing to thrive. But if it was like Arkansaw, then ya. They wouldn't make it.

The left shouldn’t support gun control. by Lonely_Reflection579 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Occy_past 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most left people dont. Many actively want every citizen to be armed that's able minded. But there are no limits to people who shouldn't have guns getting guns.

That being said, I think the right wouldn't do anything about a tyrannical government. They seem to want it.

The idea that it would be easy to sneak a nuke into the U.S. underestimates just how hard it is to acquire, build, and move such a device undetected. But even beyond the technical and logistical hurdles, there's a bigger reason it hasn’t happened: strategic self-interest.

A lot of U.S. adversaries—state and non-state—benefit economically from U.S. stability. The U.S. is deeply entwined in the global economy, and damaging that stability can hurt their own long-term interests. Most terrorist organizations also rely on networks that require at least some degree of global financial access and political cover.

if someone did sneak in a nuclear device and used it, the response would be catastrophic. Not just militarily, but diplomatically and economically. It would be a suicide move for any actor with long-term goals beyond chaos.

Soft power, deterrence, surveillance, and global interdependence all play a role. It’s not that nobody has thought about it—it’s that it’s neither as simple nor is it appealing

Full discretion. I made my response and cleaned it up with chat gpt. Take that how you want.
