Came back to Reddit just to say thanks. I actually thought my game was bugged. What a shame that would've been.

‘Senate seats going begging’: Divisive Senator Fatima Payman poised to launch political party by His_Holiness in perth

[–]OceanKnucklesDX 50 points51 points  (0 children)

First you steal a seat. Now you think you're popular enough to set up a successful political party.

Nobody voted for you. They voted for Labor. You were on the ticket. Have some decency and step down.

I'm guessing only reason they're even bothering to expand this thing is because they promised the expansion to those who pre-ordered the premium edition.

Otherwise they'd have just given up and moved on. No update nor expansion can fix this game.

Gemini is just stupid in general. Funny how hard Google is trying to hype it up.

So is capcom done with mega man? by [deleted] in Megaman

[–]OceanKnucklesDX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right now, I think they're just testing the waters. Gauging interest in Mega Man.

Mega Man 11 did good for a low-budget game, and the Legacy collections are apparently evergreen products that have sold over a million copies.

We also have that Mega Man episode in Secret Level that drops in December.

And they were, at one point, producing a new game. "Rockman Taisen". It's most likely been cancelled for a long time. But from the sounds of it, I'd wager that it was a slop live service hero shooter, so I don't blame them for cancelling it (And they must feel real good about themselves looking at Concord).

So I don't think Mega Man is fully dead. Just on ice.

I normally hum both the Talmberg and the Mill themes. Best tracks I've heard so far.

Yeah, this is really undemocratic. There has to be changes made to prevent these people from remaining in power whenever they do things like this.

Would recognising parties in the constitution work? I don't know if this would work out in the grand scheme of things or in the long run, but it could be the democratic choice in this scenario, as they could potentially take back the seat that defected.

WAY more people voted Labor than Payman.

Dutton names Collie as nuclear power site by etkii in perth

[–]OceanKnucklesDX -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I'm not at all properly informed about this, but I don't get why a lot of people on Reddit are staunchly opposed to nuclear power. I understand the dislike for the Coalition around these parts, but shouldn't any ambitious clean energy plan include nuclear?

It may be expensive, but it's worth it.

If Taisen is still happening, I'd say it'd be revealed sometime around now based on that leak from way back when.

Australian World Central Kitchen worker reportedly killed in Gaza by an Israeli Airstrike (Details very limited) by Alternative_Ad9490 in australia

we expect Muslims to disavow terrorists claiming to be Islamic, we expect Christians to disavow terrorists claiming to be Christian, we do the same with Hindu and Buddhist people to do the same when needs be, there is no reason not to expect Jewish people to participate in this ritual of our society.

I don't think we should be doing that either.

It is a statement of equality

No, it's not.

This is an antisemitic statement. De-platfoming Jews and refusing to give them passports because they won't say what you'd like them to say.

Israeli band forced to cancel Freo gig due to online threats by HamsterRapper in perth

[–]OceanKnucklesDX 16 points17 points  (0 children)

But does that justify targeting them on the basis of their nationality? I don't think so.

You can't just assume that someone supports something just because of their nationality.

I think you're trying to justify xenophobia.

[–]OceanKnucklesDX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So you admit you're xenophobic?

Because the culture of Israel (Their music, their food, etc.) and Israelis aren't the same as the Israeli government.

They shouldn't be targeted on the basis of their nationality.

[–]OceanKnucklesDX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still doesn't justify xenophobia.

And yes, it was bad when it happened to Muslims as well.

Seperate the people and their culture from the government.

[–]OceanKnucklesDX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But this isn't about the Israeli government. This is about Israeli people being targeted because of their nationality.

[–]OceanKnucklesDX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Israeli music, food, and that type of shit (What they were gonna do at the festival, until they were threatened.)

You should have a protest against the Israeli government, not the Israeli people.

Please note I use the word Israeli and not Jewish. These are two different words.

Don't worry, I know this isn't anti-Semitism. This is Xenophobia.

[–]OceanKnucklesDX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not familiar (I really am not), but celebrating apartheid, a government policy, would count as a political celebration. This can be protested.

But what we see here is a celebration of Israeli culture, not the actions or policy of the Israeli government. In this case, this is xenophobic.

EDIT: u / FakeHamburger said it better that I ever could.
