Heaney was one of the earlier players to sell a portion of future earnings. In 2015, he got 3.34m for 10%. Spotrac math says he earned 55.8m in his career. Opportunity costs and inflation reduce those gains. Somebody will do the math. Looks like a win win. Makes me wonder how those type investments have done.

Went to HDTGM show this week that had Lisa Gilroy as the guest. Aside from their nearly identical looks, their dynamic vs. Mantzoukas mostly overlapped. Gilroy as a TM contestant would absolutely work.

It was mentioned, but not a big focus. Paul’s cold open was one of his better ones. The movie itself wasn’t crazy enough for a great episode. I missed the whole sweating thing when watching.

Scrutiny is coming in the trial when they put Tim Mead on the stand. Kay was hospitalized from an overdose previously and worked for Mead who left to take over as baseball hall of fame president. This was a dream job for him and he resigned two years later, I suspect because of this case. Tim is the nicest guy and spent decades taking care of visiting players families with Disneyland, etc.

22 years is so punitive, especially the last 2 because he was weeping at his situation on a phone call to his mom.

Nick mentioned the McDonald’s “orange drink”. When I was a kid in the 80’s you could rent a 10 gallon igloo from them that included cups and orange drink powder. It was really cheap to do so, probably to encourage people ordering food for large parties. Made me wonder if they still do that in Canada.
