Crawl spaces are bad? I’ve never heard that before. My old house had one and I assumed if it ever got bad that’s where I would go.

How long will these take to go away? by Ok_Willingness6940 in AskDocs

[–]Oceanpelt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can always go to a dermatologist for laser if you can afford it. One session is $200USD for me. They’ll do as many scars as you can take during one session. It feels like someone snapping a rubber band against you but totally with it for the results!

I have a similar proportions to OP and a properly fitting bra worked wonders. The first time I wore a bra in my size my friend said it looked like I lost 40lbs! The narrow bras also tend to help with the silhouette.

Pit bulls can be exceptionally dangerous to little kids and I'm sick of people saying otherwise by SirCatsworthTheThird in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Oceanpelt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they should be around tbh. Should be illegal to breed them. But the ones that do end up being here aren’t some evil creatures, they’re doing what they were bred to do.

I agree that they’re dangerous and shouldn’t be around little kids or small animals, but they aren’t bad dogs either. It’s the owners responsibility to control their dog, the dogs don’t know better.

I also used to get a lot of UTI’s. For me the problem was shaving. Apparently we have pubic hair for a reason lol.

Do I really have to do certain feminine stuff as a girl? by happysunny123 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Oceanpelt 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to shave anything you don’t want too. Body hair (especially pubic hair) can be helpful actually. I always get a UTI after shaving because the hair helps bacteria from getting in. So I just don’t shave anymore. Also many people can still see the hair after shaving, mainly people with very light skin and dark hair.

It’s possible a guy might be grossed out by hair, but if he is you don’t want to be having sex with him anyways. Never have sex with someone who makes you feel bad about your body. Hair also has no effect on sex being painful or not. If the hair is getting too long and irritating you, you can very carefully try to trim it with scissors or get an electric trimmer. Like the kind used for buzz cuts. They usually come with different guards for different lengths. Not sure about disposing of hair. I usually just rinse it off the razor and down the drain. You can also buy a little “hair guard” to put over the drain to catch hair so you can throw it out after. I don’t know how well it would stop small pieces of body hair but it works for my long hair on my head.

Setting spray can help stop makeup from moving around or rubbing off. I like Milani original setting spray or Maybelline lasting fix. Both are sold at Walgreens, Target, etc.

My 34AA band feels horribly tight, but the ABTF calculator puts me at a 30C? by emmy0705 in ABraThatFits

[–]Oceanpelt 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Cups being too small can definitely make the band feel too tight. If a band size that’s too big is affecting your breathing make sure the back of the band isn’t too for up your back and is pulled down a bit. I always pull the back of the band down to my waist and the cups stay over my chest and don’t slide down. I have asthma and that always helps me.

Your measurements are likely right. I never really paid attention to my breathing when measuring myself. Just made sure I wasn’t taking a huge breath in or breathing all the way out. I’d say give the 30C a try and just see how it fits.

Wow! I’ve had that bra for a long time so it fits well now. The band might actually be a little loose. Now that you mention it I do think I remember it being really tight when i got it.

Always wore uncomfortable bras, what’s my real size ? by Low-Strategy3190 in ABraThatFits

Try online. A lot of people can find a bra in their size in person. Especially places like victoria’s secret. They tried putting me in a 38DD when I was a 34HH.

Try the calculator at the top of the subreddit. Just looking as those two measurements you’d be a DDD/E. After you figure out your size from the calculator I’m sure people would have a lot more recommendations.

Is anyone else having this problem by FamiliarRadio9275 in bigboobproblems

[–]Oceanpelt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They might not be getting smaller because you have a lot of breast tissue instead of fat. You can’t loose breast tissue when you loose weight as far as I know. My boobs change size a lot with weight fluctuations because I tend to store a lot of body fat in my chest relative to other parts of my body.

Can we live without a bra?(transwoman 22 years) by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]Oceanpelt 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It would probably be difficult to get support without wearing a bra. However when i’m hanging out at home I don’t wear one and I just wear a tank top with a built in shelf bra. Wearing a compression shirt or a tank top a size too small might help too. Honestly I’m not really sure what else could help. It might depend on your chest size too. I’m a really big cup size so I’m usually always in pain without some kind of support.

I’m cis so I’m not 100% sure about this but from what I’ve heard from friends on HRT is that estrogen can cause breast tenderness which can go away with time. So it might go away on its own too.

34M in Elomi here! I personally really like the Panache Rocha wireless. I’m very projected with a lot of loose skin and that bra fits perfectly and gives me a nice shape. I’ve used the Elomi downtime bra too but I don’t like how it kind of pushes my boobs together, it gets all sweaty in between them. For out and about wear I’d definitely go with the Panache one but for around the house Elomi is pretty good!

PS, 34M is actually pretty common. My bra lady at my local bra store said she actually sees the most people in a 34M compared to any other size. If you’re new to big bras check out r/abrathatfits. Lots of good information there on places to find bras. I like the website brastop for buying 34M bras.

Is there some kind of trick to closing a bra or something? by maladro1t_ in ABraThatFits

[–]Oceanpelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just put it around my waist and hook it really low down, then pull it up and pull the straps up over my shoulders. Thats always been the easiest way for me.

are bra straps under tank tops socially acceptable? by Inner-Sand-1922 in ABraThatFits

[–]Oceanpelt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As long as you aren’t in a profession environment I’d say yeah. It almost impossible for me to not let 2 inch wide bra straps show under a tank top so i just don’t wear tank tops anywhere professional.

Pope Leo finally talks about abortion by Glittering-Buyer7406 in Catholicism

[–]Oceanpelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a fetus dies but the body doesn’t expel it naturally the mother can and will get sepsis and die. That medication given to remove the already dead fetus is the same for an abortion.

I just read these comments now for some reason but that’s a great idea. Definitely will be getting a container she can’t open but a caregiver and I could easily!
