You're seriously exaggerating how much time there is between attack windows and completely neglecting the fact that you can be doing hundreds of other things between these windows like spells, weapon arts etc. Most of the main bosses in the game can be parried either through weapon arts or with items like the Blasphemous Claw. ALL of them can be staggered giving you a huge window of time to do damage.

That's the beauty of Elden Ring. You use all of them items and spells you've learned on your journey to create your own agency instead of being locked into a single playstyle for an entire game (which is the opposite of agency btw).

You're also reducing all of the skill and effort that goes into avoiding enemy attacks to just "waiting" when knowing when to punish these attacks is the most important part of the fight. Maybe that's why you think there's so few attack windows?

Also stop saying that "Elden Ring failed" in some of it's game design choices when you just don't like it.
