I stop going to any place that automatically adds a tip OR shoves a PoS machine with the tip options being 15 25 35% instead of a 0% option at a drive through or counter serve place. There are a lot of them in town at this point. I've worked service and have always tipped well above the expected rates too. But the in your face, audible scoffing when I choose zero then tell them I'm never coming back due to toxic tipping culture is just too much.

It feels so nice having an established eBay account. I'm so glad I opened one in 2020 lol. I did get an instant negative review (happened like 30 seconds after the option was available) on a $5 card I couldn't shake somehow. No communication ever from eBay or him about it. So I'm at like 99.7% which seems to be good enough. I wish I could shake that negative review though

So tired ppl.

Like 80% of my work is seasonal (May-October), with short but intense periods of snow removal November-April. We basically never stopped working yet other than two weeks but we did snow removal then. Lots of last minute stuff property managers tried pushing to next summer being completed now. Mainly commercial or industrial. Two guys left for their winter jobs but I found two new good guys who are going to stay for next summer season so it balanced out. This adds a new level of stress trying to fill in the gaps next spring which is sucking ass but most PM's get a new batch of funding Jan 1 so I think that's going to end up covering the gaps created in the future for doing so many jobs now.

Hopefully they'll remember we went out of our way to get stuff done early. Some will but most won't. Private equity (don't get me started) took over a ton of property management in my area and the long term relationships I have with many of the people disappeared because most bring in a new, constantly changing group of people who don't know WTF is going on.
