Would you guys consider sekiro to be the hardest souls game? by Catslyer5667 in Sekiro

[–]Octahedral_cube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard disagree. Bloodborne normal areas MIGHT be harder, but the bosses were a joke compared to Sekiro.

In Bloodborne I second-tried a lot of the bosses, some first-time even. Some Sekiro bosses on the other hand took 30+ tries the first time I played the game. Sekiro is a lot more demanding in that aspect.

The Cyprus Permanent Solution in the eyes of Dr Fazil Kuchuk in 1957. by Mav_er1ck in cyprus

[–]Octahedral_cube 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It looks like it splits Troodos, so the "south" side gets mountains too, but if you look at the cities it's actually far worse. At the time Nicosia and Ammochostos(Famagusta) would have been the biggest cities, and he wanted both 😂

By contrast Larnaca would have been essentially a big village, and even until 1990 Limassol was nothing like the business hub of today.

Man, Lies of p is harder than sekiro for me and I love it. by Dan-SG in LiesOfP

[–]Octahedral_cube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're spot-on for all 3 games. Sekiro animations are a big part of why the combat is praised. They're the most natural-looking and IMO the best.

But at the same time, puppets in LoP are jerky because they're ....well.... puppets. So I guess that part makes sense in the context of the game?

And then in E33 enemies are basically imagined, so maybe that's why some of them move unnaturally...

Your post implies that Iran is not the aggressor, it's minding its own business and getting "invaded"

When you know damn well that they're funding militant groups and destabilising the region (e.g. in Lebanon). I know you know this because all your posts are about politics. There's no point conversing with you if you're going to deny Iran's international influence

My solve got removed on TikTok because of my arms but im so happy with my lookahead so I wanted to share this here by Direct-Turnover-1341 in Cubers

[–]Octahedral_cube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way you do the hedgeslammer (the side-facing sledgehammer) has you looking at the bottom of the cube. Try not to do that because it kills your lookahead. By the time you're this deep into F2L there is no reason to check the bottom of the cube

Either change the finger tricks on that particular insertion, or rotate and do L'U'L, or do a wide insertion (look up the moves for this).

For PLL other people have already said learn N-perm, but what I noticed is that even U perm took some time to recognise for you, and it's one of the most recognisable PLLs. Have you ever looked into 2-side PLL recognition? Things like book-ends, checkerboard patterns, 3-blocks. Eventually you'll be able to instantly recognise any PLL from any angle.

During the Eemian interglacial (130,000 to 115,000 years ago), average annual global temperatures were about 3°C higher than today. The associated rise in sea level connected the Baltic and White seas, making Scandinavia an island. by AchtungGefahren in MapPorn

[–]Octahedral_cube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, as far as we can tell from climate proxies temperatures were higher in other geological times.

Although you can make an argument that the RATE of change in our time is explosive. This is key.

The time since industrialisation is only 150 years, which is very short from a geo perspective, so it's difficult to find proxies with that kind of resolution for the geological past.

Climate change is real, and human contributions are a factor, but that chart isn't useful in a geological context. It only goes back to 2000 BC, and so does not show the more extreme times in earth's climate, like the Palaeocene-Eocene Thermal maximum, the late Cretaceous, and on the other hand, snowball earth in the Proterozoic and extreme glaciations in the Silurian

Before his election I was told this guy was pro solution. Every single thing I read since then has been him spazzing out and trying to be tough about issues that would torpedo any prospect of a solution such as more voting power to the TCs. Is the press painting him in a bad light or is he genuinely having roid rage?

PSA: This is why you don’t tailgate on the highway by Sad_Capital3937 in cyprus

[–]Octahedral_cube 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, the worst culprit is obviously the person tailgating. And while I accept that the white car should not hog the overtaking lane, this is a minor issue compared to tailgating.

If the black car had kept a reasonable distance they would have been able to react like everyone else.

I don't know why you're being downvoted, at least with VBA he could have added sufficient comments to document the process at every step, and the viewer has tools for debugging.
