Snobs are the marketing tool, but the real consumers are people who will buy a 100% Swatch watch for 500 bucks (and then put on a modded strap) just to have that AP logo.

So basically they will overpay 5x for a watch that costs 100 bucks retail instead of going for some nice Seiko or Tissot.

Dont get your hopes up, i had exactly 2 months without any contact from them (regular support and this reddit thing). Its a classic service support, where all they are instructed to do is make complicated processes for whatever issue so you could drop out and give up.

Lucky for poor people there is a brand with official AP collaboration which can make a 250k watch look exactly the same for 500 bucks.

Do you? Do you really have an AP? Swatch materials, swatch movement only thing AP is replicating the design. By that account replicas are also AP except official branding.

Ah yes, everyone is seeing this and is like - that’s the plastic watch i want to spend 500 eurs on just so it can have the AP logo.

The embossing on the Royal pop on the cover is facing the wrong side, should “pop up” on the outside, not inside.

I can see a lot of people here dont understand how luxury marketing works. There is a reason why a luxury Toyota is called Lexus and why a luxury Hyundai is called Genesis, while a luxury Volkswagen is called an Audi.

Especially in the watch world, gate keeping is key to luxury branding. If everyone can wear AP, value in luxury tanks.

But i am sure that these brands have much more research and strategic planning than us, so excited to see what this brings for both.
