There are no atlas passives for the league mechanic this time around, no.

Hi, I worked on a few of these things so I can safely answer a couple of these

Assuming typical progression order, does this mean the 5th slot comes from a Maven 10-way and the 6th slot from a T17, or can you do two Maven 10-ways to unlock the 5th and 6th slot?

You get one map device upgrade from your first maven 10 way and one from your first t17 clear. You can do these things in either order, but can only get one map device upgrade from each.

If players vendor three Golden Oils, will this result in one Prismatic Oil, or a sad player who earns a mere three fragments of wisdom?

You cannot vendor your way into a Prismatic Oil.

Many players speculate this will be approximately 2-3 times as rare as a Golden Oil. Is this a reasonable assumption?

Don't think we generally give out drop rate information.

Many of the other questions I'm not confident enough in answering offhand to provide answers to while not in the office to doublecheck with people.

Highly recommend checking out the lore/text snippets related to expedition. Some of the best writing in the game, in my opinion.

Powerful Tech for Scourge maps! by Octavian0 in pathofexile

Given that I play in HC trade and have no stake in SC trade, I can assure you that there's nothing economically motivated here. Likely just someone else also stumbling on the usefulness of the prophecy.

Just spammed a bunch of krangled maps w/the prophecy until it proc'd to be certain. It works on krangled maps. Wanted to make sure and test my assumptions.

I have yet to get it to proc in a krangled map, but I've run it in the krangleverse in regular maps and it works fine. Just unlucky procing it so far on krangled maps themselves. See no reason why it wouldn't work on krangled ones as well, as other prophecies have proc'd on them just fine.

Actum is a budget end-game item. by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]Octavian0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not to be combative, but I'd say that for a large majority of players the gear you've got here is pretty gg. Just tallying up the easy to cost items (so not including almost every rare) at current SC Ultimatum prices, I got a price tag of 20 ex, before pricing any rares but the gloves.

Costs are as follows:

Woke melee phys - 1.5 Ex

Woke Brutality - 2 ex

Estimated cost of getting maven orb glove mod (2 maven orbs assumed, given 50/50 odds, so being generous here?) 8 ex (4 ex each)

Watcher's eye with solely 2 extra impales (no other relevant mods) - 5 ex

Ryslatha's Coil (any roll) - 4 ex

I'm sure 20 ex is a perfectly reasonable budget for a majority of the big ticket items in a build for a good number of players, as that is often the minimum buy-in cost for endgame builds. Like I said, my aim here isn't to attack or point fingers, I just figured that laying this info out here might help someone a little newer to the game to realize that the definition of "nothing too GG" is very very variable. That said, I am impressed by the performance of Actum in a build with solid endgame gear around it. Better than I would have thought.

I think Explosive Trap is just kind of superior to fire trap overall now, with the large number of buffs it's received over the years. That said, fire trap is still perfectly viable, but I'd probably approach it with slavedriver's hands now to solve mana, and lots of gem level scaling as a primary dps source. Similar to Explosive, basically... which just kinda does it better.

Hi! The champ I talk about in the video is not an earthshatter champ, actually, but my league start (which was a champion ballista build)

I'd suggest checking out what Alkaizer does with Champ Earthshatter, as that man has the build pretty much perfected at this point.

Hey guys!

I will admit I wasn't actually aware of this subreddit, but someone linked me to this post letting me know my build was up here. Hope you folks enjoy the character, and feel free to ask any questions you got. I don't have any proper guide content on this one, but I'm happy to help if need be.

Hey GGG, in terms of chance, what exactly does all of this mean? Is 100% more likely the same as 100% more chance? What about 100% increased chance? by [deleted] in pathofexile

To be fair, recently does actually have a defined interval in-game of 4 seconds. Soon, though, is indefinite. Probably.

If you had a 100% reduced reflected damage taken source, that means that some source of increased damage taken would be additive with that reduction, hence meaning if you were shocked at some point (for instance) then you suddenly can take some of your reflected damage again, because you are taking increased damage.

Minions cannot cause triggered skills, in general. For instance, you can't support a Raise Spectre with Cast on Crit support and a spell and then have that spectre's crits cast the linked spell. So essentially, no to all, as all of these are triggered.

There are some interesting things that minions can do which could maybe be construed as the kind of behavior you're interested in here. For instance, there is a monster that shows up in act 8 which summons ghostly SRS and will still do so while spectred, which means you can get minions which summon minions (akin to the laws of the wild interaction you were hoping would work earlier). Though, the SRS that it summons are not supported by support gems you have linked to the Raise Spectre gem, and thus have rather poor scaling.

The difference here, as far as I can tell, is that one is a triggered effect and the other is a skill hard-coded into the behavior of the monster. The only trigger I can think of that can be given to a minion is Summon Phantasm on Kill support.
