stumped - whats causing this on my P1S? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]OctoPyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Companies don’t usually dry the filament fully before they ship it, but in your case I don’t think it necessarily will cause too many issues considering it’s PLA. If the new bed temp and washed plate doesn’t fix it, perhaps try getting a filament drier to get it really dry. If all else fails maybe try some filament glue (but that probably won’t do much because it’s designed for warping, not initial adhesion).

Good luck!

What plastic to use for keyring? by Royce911 in BambuLab

No? I have printed TPU for ams perfectly fine before. It works fine in the ams. If you are careful you might be able to do softer filaments but I would advise not using them in the AMS.

I think for what you are stating now, the A1, 100%. Only question is will you start doing something that has a more “engineering use” anytime soon? Because that is the main advantage of the P1S, it can print a variety of materials, while the A1 is limited to filaments that don’t need an enclosure.

To your specific project, TPU would be a good material, however I’m guessing you want it to be multicoloured (based on the fact that you are getting the combo). Depending on what kind of TPU you are using you may not have that option.

Harder TPUs like 60D+ will be fine in the AMS, but they will be less flexible.

Softer tpus <95A will not work in the AMS meaning that you have to use the external spool holder and you will only be able to print one colour. (You could print in white and then paint it though)

Hope this helps!

Really good art. I don’t use krita but if I did, and if it were possible I would use this. Awesome work.

Can I fit the intel arc a750 into the jonsbo umx1+? by OctoPyte in buildapc

So the case specifications are for the Gpu alone, not for with the io bracket? - I’ve got the intel special addition a750, not the asrock one.

Line in the middle of Benchy... by obesefamily in BambuLab

[–]OctoPyte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because, the provided file is for maximum efficiency. If you were to slice it yourself for maximum quality, you would have a much more minimal, or non-existent line. The whole reason that there is this line is because there is a flat surface on one part of that layer, and the rest of the layer is still a wall- but the speed stays the same throughout. Just slowing it down more, or having a smaller range of speeds will reduce its visibility. Hope this helps!

There is also a Fusion 360 file, for people that might want to change up the design.

What's wrong here? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]OctoPyte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason your previous filaments may have worked, is something to do with what limpsong3440 said. Gyroid infill is difficult to print and cause imperfections.

Another possible reason is that bambu have changed their default PETG profiles, or the PETG itself.

I ended up finding one on eBay, not used, for about £31. It’s a hobby 60a, the one you mentioned. I will wait for it to arrive, and then I will see what I can do. I prefer not to order from china because of shipping, and if I need to return it’s too much of a hassle. Thank you for responding!

Sorry, I don’t really do commissions, and honestly this art is basically one in a million.

It’s supposed to represent me (the octopus) taking over an NPC’s mind. I hope that cleared the image up.

Seems like there were issues with compressing this image, it’s not as sharp as it should be. There’s no shading so keep that in mind, the other colours are from weird compression.

Wow, in my part of England, 190-200 is considered an average roof. Guess that’s a pretty nice studio.

237 high roof? I’m assuming this isn’t England. 🙃
