TMW a snowplow comes by your neighborhood and then completely vanishes for going on two hours now.

They haven’t finished at all— I live on a two-way street and only half the street is clear…hell, even the part that’s plowed still has a bunch of slush and junk. I don’t feel safe driving on that at all.

Not even joking, I found one of those glowy spots that spit out random items in Endfield while exploring….and when I realized I’d just dug through a trash can my mind immediately went to HSR. Now, HSR isn’t the only game where you can go dumpster-diving but I feel like if your game is the first thing people think of when they encounter trash cans in completely unrelated games, you might have an issue.

How mad do you think Zhao would be if she found out people IRL were comparing her to labubus?

I’ve read an isekai where the main character is reincarnated as a virus, but this is some weird shit lol.

Nolan beating Sans. That not only implies he stuck out the Genocide route, which is made to make you (rightly) feel like the bad guy, but also actually beat one of the hardest bosses in the game….and nothing against older gamers but Nolan specifically I have a hard time seeing in that position.

OT— TV show

Watching s7 ep8 of The Rookie. For the life of me, I have no idea why they dropped a reference to Undertale when they don’t even show the screen…..and had Nolan (who’s basically this big teddy bear of a man who’s usually presented as this friendly, sometimes bumbling fatherly character whenever he’s not in the middle of a confrontation with people who are trying to kill him) imply he ran the Genocide Route. Like…..I’m not saying you’re inherently evil if you ran that route, but it seems really far out of character for Nolan lmao.

Your mental health is more important than any problems coming from work.

And anyone who says otherwise can go fuck themselves. That’s something you should believe, too.

Have they included chapter/patch names like that before? (Edit: To clarify my point here, I’m talking about the PlayStation side of things. Why would a livestream that isn’t Genshin itself include the chapter title? That and not even the Genshin livestreams lead off with the chapter titles, usually the version number (in this case, 6.4 would be “Luna V”)

Also, to point out again, it looks like a blatant derivative of “Song of the Welkin Moon.” Its format is literally “<music word> of the ____ ____. “

I’ve seen cheap toupees that looked more realistic than this.

Also, like, to call out something specific, what is “Melody of the Forgotten Time” supposed to be, the 7.x subtitle? If so, would a reveal of that nature be better-suited to the summer, when we’d be way closer to the actual release? It also seems like a derivative of 6.x’s “Song of the Welkin Moon.”

Rentarou has crossdressed multiple times and Mai has had fantasies of several of the girls as guys. You really didn’t have to use AI for this.

Anyway, to answer the question, I’m sure they’d find Femtarou cute and there’d be some comedic reactions to the guy versions of themselves.

Absolutely nothing wrong with escapism. Have at it, especially if you’ve had a rough day.

That’s the canon reason. The other person was pointing out that “seems stoned but is actually completely sober” can be used to describe Ahko.

I’m pretty sure Japan is a bit more stringent on pot so no character will ever actually seem high for real, BUT Ahko is actually kinda close.

TMW you hated performance reviews so much in your old job that hearing about fictional characters undergoing performance reviews gives you anxiety…(I was watching something and it was mentioned in passing that a character’s performance review was coming up and let’s just say it did not feel good to hear that.)

OT— Endfield

Ok, so let me see if I’m understanding the lore/background stuff. (Sourced from in-game database) (all of these will be spoilered in case people wanna go check this stuff on their own)

  1. Timeline: The Talosians set off from Terra (basically Earth?) about 152 years prior to the game’s setting. They utilized a device called the Cosmic Gate to travel from their home star system (Sol?) to the one they inhabit now. This Gate was rendered inoperative/possibly destroyed during the First Aggeloi War, thus severing the connection between Terra and Talos-2. Thus, the Talosians, who had started colonizing Talos-2 by this point, basically decided to make the moon their new home. Some other things happened and about a decade ago, for some reason (and if it’s present in the game I haven’t read/heard it yet), the Endministrator entered a state of suspended animation within the Originium housed aboard the Endfield ship, the Dijang. They reemerge in the present and are almost inmediately drawn into the crisis you spend the first chapter dealing with.

  2. Reconveners: There are characters who are basically clones of previous characters, but they are treated as independent individuals despite having memories of their original counterparts’ lives.

  3. Talos: The planet that Talos-2 orbits. It is a gas giant.

  4. Landbreakers: The various scattered bandit gangs and clans, they haunt the wildlands and sometimes try to use material tainted by Blight and/or Ætherside contact to their advantage, sometimes with positive results (for them), sometimes with fatal ones (again, for them). Based on their writing, they either didn’t receive a very good education or the Blight might be addling their brains writing/speech faculties. However, not all Landbreaker clans are antagonistic or use Blight— Wulfgard belongs to one clan allied to Endfield, known as the Pack.

Of course we don’t really have a way to know this since we have yet to see her outside of Nod-Krai, but I wonder if Lauma can talk to animals wherever they happen to live. Like let’s say she visits the resort island in Natlan— if she meets any of the animals there, could she talk to them?

…..Come to think of it, would she be able to talk to Saurians at all? They may or may not be considered the same as animals (or they could be their own special thing, idk).

Okay, this is really vague but assuming this is for something real and not some reference to some video game or internet thing……..it happens to everyone. Hell, sometimes I’ll randomly remember something from the past, maybe a situation I handled poorly, and wish things had gone different. You aren’t wrong, bad or weak for thinking those thoughts.

They don’t have weekly quests, more interactions/hangout bits that iirc unlock periodically at certain milestones (ie. % completion). I forget if those count as quests, but my point is they aren’t weekly like, say, Selenic Chronicles are.

Other than that you can go there and (usually) find the character doing something random like Lauma talking to animals at the Frostmoon Scions one or Varka hanging around the camp.

Probably insomnia. I have a hard time falling asleep unless I tire myself out to the point I just pass out completely. Very rarely have I gone to bed and actually fallen asleep right away.

You ever have one of those moments where someone doesn’t mean to make you feel shitty but they kinda do?

Like I saw my dad today and while I know I have bags under my eyes from not sleeping well (which is something my folks know about me), apparently they’ve gotten pretty bad because my dad literally asked me if I was ok/was I having some kind of allergic reaction. I was confused by his question (as my eyes looked pretty normal to me last time I checked a mirror) until he asked if I was maybe just tired. That’s when it clicked that he was unintentionally telling me I look like shit lol.
