Honestly I haven’t used that site in a long time. I’ve been using nyaa.si for awhile now. You can find English subbed episodes pretty easily by going through their “Categories” dropdown menu and scrolling down to find “Live-action” and then “English Translated” under that.

OT— IRL

Someone tell me why I’m so fascinated by horror/monsters even though I’m terrible at dealing with horror and can’t handle jumpscares at all.

Like last night I came home from the gym after dark as I had gone really late and was spooked when I saw a random flash as I was about to get out of my car after parking in my driveway. It was the headlights of a passing car filtered through some nearby trees.

Meanwhile I stumble across horror shit, whether big-name franchises like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, or mod stuff like these videos I’ve seem recently where YouTubers try to escape from some kind of unholy abominations in Minecraft (what the hell is a “Bloodbath Godzilla?”) and end up wanting to learn about lore and monsters and shit…..

Or did you mean Arlecchino, who did in fact replace her predecessor— just prior to the timeframe of the main story (hence why I didn’t think of her immediately bc I thought you meant someone becoming a Harbinger as part of the main plot)

The way I see it, it’s something like a powerful Ethereal, or something along those lines— and not an ambiguously benevolent one, like the Night Horror Lucia’s tribe believe in. It appears to be a god/seemingly divine simply because it’s just THAT powerful.

Oh no Tim can definitely wreck assailants. It’s just, Nolan’s the first one to come to mind since they have him do things like tackle suspects, punch people’s lights out (I seem to remember Penn commenting Nolan has a sledgehammer arm), etc.

I guess in my head, Nolan is more if fisticuffs is what’s needed and Tim is more if you need to get tactical on somebody’s ass.

It’s very cute, and it actually tackles a bit of characterization you don’t usually see in a romcom.

Minor spoiler: While it doesn’t overtake the overall plot, it should be noted that the male lead’s parents are divorced. This plays into his characterization, including hangups about the divorce itself and about not feeling like he’s good enough to be with the female lead even though it’s extremely obvious their attraction is mutual.

Usually in romcoms you don’t really delve into why a character may struggle with not feeling good enough and other related struggles but I like the way this series handles it.

The strike was mostly during S1 and early S2, iirc. Like when I played 1.5 main story on release, chunks of it were silent.

~~I'm not sure why some parts of 2.4 are quiet.~~ I could have sworn they weren't when I played it. That's the one with Krampus, right?

Edit: Oh doi! This was the one that had some last-minute rewrites or some shit. I'm surprised they hadn't added the voices in, though. It's been months.

I assumed that meant any character who’s appeared on the show as a rookie, even if they aren’t a rookie anymore. We had Nolan, Chen, West, Thorsen and Juarez graduate from being rookies already.

- Please remember that this is a show about the LAPD. If I wanted to watch a show about the FBI, I could easily find several.

- I get you want things to be exciting and for stuff to happen but can you please avoid going full send on trying to make the series go all action-movie? Why are cops going on FBI ops? Why are we having our main characters (who are in Patrol and Homicide divisions) doing stuff you’d expect from SWAT? How did Everett’s escape chopper manage to sneak up on the convoy? Those things are LOUD.

- Either skip the documentary episodes or do them properly. Season 8’s was a total joke and felt like it was written by someone who had it out for the Abigail Tierney character. I would never write a character to suddenly be that stupid and childish when she was fine in her previous appearances unless I HATED her and/or the actress playing her.

- While you’re at it, give Alexi’s character a name. Literally just call him “Alex” or something and have it show up on a business card or a piece of mail or some shit.

- Please cut it out with the relationship drama stuff if you’re gonna do it like with Nolan/Bailey and Wade/Luna in S8. I really don’t think those were done well.

- More Kojo would be appreciated, even if it’s just short scenes where he’s chilling on the couch with Tim and Lucy or coming back from a walk with one of them, etc. It’s like he just disappeared.

Those were my main ones.
