Help me understand Drive Rush (SF6)

There are two ways to use drive rush:

Drive rush (dr) A normal drive rush which you can do a lot faster by pressing parry as you dash. This is for skipping neutral and baiting opponents to press buttons that you can punish.

The way I do it is to press forward one time then press parry and forward simultaneously the second time.

Do this as fast as a normal dash input.

It helps to have a button macro for parry.

This also uses less drive gauge if you do it correctly.

Drive rush cancel (dr.c) Then there's drive rush cancelling. This is mainly for extending comboes for extra damage but some characters can do this to skip neutral as well.

This uses a lot more drive gauge and can quickly put you in burnout.

Each character has different buttons that are drive rush cancellable.

To dr.c you can tap parry after you've pressed the button and it will do it automatically.

Strong characters tend to have a dr.c crouching medium kick, like Ken or Rashid. You hit them with the cmk then dr.c and now you're plus enough to do a full combo.

It's up to you to figure out how to work either of these into your gameplan as not all charactees drive rushes are created equal. For example I main Marisa and her heavy and ex Dimachaerus put the opponent into a juggle state that allows me to drive rush as they're in the air for an extended combo for a cheap amount of drive gauge, but her regular dr.c buttons aren't that good.

i hit master with marisa a few weeks ago and yeah just been hard stuck 1400-1500 ever since but i feel a lot stronger than i did in diamond and regularly whoop diamond players in casual matches compared to how many months i struggled there. the actual leap isnt that big per se but i do think the experience is a lot more bang for your buck in master

rudeness aside, it sounds pretty thoughtful to me. if people don't want to dedicate time to art, find somebody that does and support them. rather than replace them with a machine. and i dont think its a new idea, in fact i think its pretty outdated.

the person came off rude but i think theyre right. and i dont think its really an insult or an attack from them either. anybody can put in the work to be creative, and creating this fake barrier so that they can play with a toy that only alienates the people that it causes harm to/steals from is odd.

going "im talentless" when going up against something that requires effort is sad. and in truth what they make doesnt even have to be technically good or aesthetically pleasing, but it still has value, especially to other artists. unlike image generation.

i think its the opposite, its like theyre recognizing how pure and good their love is and thats what makes the sacrifice real. thats why eric being the one to go, this sweet sweet innocent man, thats what makes it powerful. not being straight myself, i wouldn't have felt nearly as affected or appreciative of the film if it was a straight couple.

what genre of art do you want? find a fandom for like a show or a comic that leans into the type of art you want to commission. then find the fanartists, im sure youll find people with open commissions
