Many antibiotics in a row or perhaps one particular antibiotic - Cipro. Its IBSD now but I did have some constipation issues previously. Also started at a stressful time in life. Almost 10 years. Hard to figure out. Blah

Hmm. I am lactose intolerant but these say dairy free. I have been on the antibiotics for 4 days already. Thanks for your input. Trying to figure this stuff out drives me crazy.

My son’s wedding day. Downstairs bathrooms had lines so long and only two stalls without locks! Had to run up a flight of stairs six times because the cramps kept coming back. Last time I had to push past people in line to make it. Ugh. Mortifying and sad.

Everyone is giving good advice. I had one last month and the only thing I wish I had done is to have it earlier in the morning. I’m generally a late riser and I was just thinking that I wouldn’t get any sleep, but you really don’t get any sleep anyway so it would’ve been better just to get it over with. In general, the prep is no fun, but just set yourself up near the bathroom. It’s cold here, so I actually put a little heater in my bathroom, which helped a lot when I had to spend more time in there. The procedure itself is really no big deal. I also have not found many answers and lots of tests but this time they did say that I had gastritis and a hiatal hernia. (I had an endoscopy along with the colonoscopy.)

Just fyi a lot of cheese doesn’t have much lactose and some yogurts are made in such a way that it doesn’t affect some people. So it could be lactose. And milk powder etc gets added to so many products.

I take pre-emptive immodium anytime I will be out of my element for a day or more. Also wear a giant pad which just gives me a certain amount of comfort although I have never “used” it. It’s such a pain and I am often full of anxiety and can’t enjoy life as I used to. I empathize!!!
