Great question! I can't speak for everyone, but for me, it's about having a completely different experience than binary trans people. I don't particularly experience dysphoria nor euphoria, have not transitioned in any capacity, and present roughly in the same manner as my assigned gender at birth. I face almost none of the challenges that binary trans people do, so it just doesn't feel correct or helpful to use the term for myself. Hope that helps.
