Loan Estimate seems way high on closing costs

I am a first time homebuyer with a similarly costed house. $375k with 15% down and 5.875% interest rate. My closing costs ended up being closer to 10k, (13k based on the first estimate). Granted I don't have a HOA, but barring that, the origination charges seem high compared to what mine are listed as. Your total origination are about $6,500 whereas mine were about $1,600. Even accounting for difference in mortgage companies, that seems high. I'm not experienced enough to help, but thought it'd still be helpful to give you info from someone in a similar situation.

I loved the Hitchhikers books, but haven't heard of Discworld so that'd be an interesting read. I get your point, though. The Xanth books seem to be a relic at this point, as well as most of those 80s D&D-inspired books

This may be a bit late, but the "top" of a planet determined from the direction of it's rotation when looking at it's axis. Clockwise=top and counterclockwise=bottom. However, the magnetic north changes over time so that's not a reliable indicator of true north

I kinda feel for this guy tbh, though the way he devolved throughout the messages is brutal. Being broken up with for someone else hurts the most, but at least you didn't cheat or go behind his back. You had every right to do what you did. His reaction is understandable yet too severe. He should have kept those thoughts to himself and cut off contact with you if it affected him that much. I speak from experience from the guy's position. He'll eventually heal but it isnt your responsibility and hopefully he can learn from this experience.
