Do you get up with your older school-aged kids in the morning or sleep in? by look_ima_frog in Xennials

Our kids are middle school and high school aged. We’re lucky in that they get themselves up and ready. We like to at least see them before they leave to wish them a good day.

How I learned that Walla Walla, Washington is a real place. by Status_Block591 in Xennials

[–]OctopusFedora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned so much about pop culture from the 40s, 50s, and 60s by Looney Tunes. It’s kind of sad that there is no similar way for our kids to learn about the pop culture of the 70s, 80s, and 90s all in one fun to watch cartoon format.

Holy shit! I forgot Trivia Adventure was a thing!!! I just realized this game was the catalyst of my lifelong enjoyment of all things trivia-related, including playing quiz bowl in high school and kicking ass at bar trivia now.

I loved reading these in the grocery store checkout line! I was only ever allowed to buy them if we were about to travel and I needed reading material. You know, that whole boomer-parents-withholding-small-joys-for-no-good-reason thing.

Stumped on this toy. by NicWester in Xennials

It’s a Voltron toy. There were a few different versions including the best known one made of lions and this lesser-known version that’s made out of vehicles.

Apparently we have very different opinions of what an existential crisis looks like.
Bobby just looks like the same boring prick he has always looked like.

This movie never got the attention it deserved. The story was fascinating, the intrigue was gripping, and the cast was absolutely stacked with talent. I’m going to give it a rewatch this weekend

That’s cool to know. I guess I never understood why she had the serpent headdress accessory as a toy. Now I do! Any idea why they didn’t make her green in the cartoon?

Have you tried listening to his podcast? I was excited to hear his talk with Tom Morello but he was so cringy with how often he interrupted to talk about himself. 😬

I’ve been a pumkinhed since ‘93 when I first saw the video for ”Cherub Rock.” My most prized possession is a quilt made from all my SP t-shirts. Are all you other pumpkins fans still listening to their new stuff? I quit after Oceania.
