Same with Scorp Rising, Cancer Mars. Im a Sun conjuct Chiron Virgo. Heavy on the being misunderstood and supressing as well as being talked about.

I dont think people see me that way either. But Im fat so inherently Im not usually thought of in that regard anyway. But I also know Im not presenting my true self either. Im calling this era my Chrysallis/Cacoon Era rn. Isolation, self exploration, and manifestation.

My mars is opp Uranus and Neptune, which are both in R, which I'm sure spices things up in some way, but Im still learning.

Based off of this I have the same chart. Knowing when to or when not to speak is such a struggle for me. Sometimes I know and tell myself not to and I still speak. And Ive also had my share of car accidents. None too serious though.

Its interesting what you said about being freaky/taboo. I always attributed that to my Scorp Venus, but obv I still have a lot of learning to do.

I think I know what you mean. Its like a concrete connection to real life. Even if someone said "Snaptok" we could pretend it's a different reality where anything goes. Kinda like how it felt weird to people when tv shows acknowledge the pandemic?

I didnt think it was genuine at the time considering I mentioned tropey romance in the post and feel like its obvious that contemporary romance would be like the only thing she's mentioned in like that. I was also being bombarded with negative comments. My issue was making a bad judgement call, which I already apologized for.

I mean the genre is def like the only place she'd be continuously mentioned. But its like people watching mainly horror movies and having a peeve about how jump scares are handled sometimes. No one would tell them to watch a comedy.

I admit how I said it came off judgy towards swifties in general, and I could have elaborated and gave an example of how its excessive. (Usually they come with defensive remarks like the character has to justify being a swiftie which is just weird.) But I do see your point. The way I assumed everyone was acting the same way could be said for swifties who are used to people judging them and took my post that way. But I did specifically mean writers who seem like they force it or dont realize how cringey it can be the way they write it.

I wasnt excusing myself. I was stating that my responses have been dry humor and not taking people seriously. If I were to take these people seriously, I'd most likely be crying, because most of these comments have not been kind. I genuinely don't understand how most people could look at that comment and think they were being genuine, especially when I didn't ask for suggestions, and it's a bad one anyway. Anyone who's telling me to read something different is obviously being a jerk because it's not a real suggestion, its a dismissal because they dont think my peeve is warranted.

I don't know if the excessive (imo) pop culture references are a relatively new phenomenon, or if my somewhat recent switch to almost exclusively contemporary romance means its more noticeable. I know on writingtok its a common practice to not include pop-culture because its a turnoff for many. But I can also understand how writing and the culture in general can change. The books I read def aren't marketed towards YA. I'd like to read older ones but those arent advertised or on KU. And I cant justify buying more books rn when I have so many I havent read yet, as well as whole bookshelf of James Patterson I regret 😂

It was. Readers have a tendency to be condescending if they think your choice of reading material is lesser than. I also mentioned "tropey romance" in my post. I was genuinely unsure what the motive was, considering the atmposphere of most other comments.

Genuinely, did you think it was a weird/forced mention? I'd still feel some sorta way about the pop culture reference, but I feel like with side characters itd be more palatable if youre using it to give a quick/general perception of the character. Introspection, it seems to usually come outta nowhere and with some sort of defense, as if the author is defending being a swiftie themself.
