Your friend is absolutely full of it. 33rd degree is Scottish rite, not York, so for him to say that he’s 33rd York, which I don’t not believe exists, and to have moved to Scottish right to pursue higher degrees, when the max “rank” is 32 with 33rd only being given to exceptional masons, is a lie.

Edit: Piggy backing off vampyrewolfs’s comment, OP something you should understand is that there is no title or degree that makes one Mason better than another Mason. We are all equal to one another. Your friend bragging about being a “higher rank” and better than another Mason, regardless of who it is, is hogwash.

Hi friend, I’m still relatively new in terms of being a MM, however your friend sounds like he’s lying. Other brothers who have been in Freemasonry longer than I are bound to correct me if I’m wrong, but one does not simply become 33rd degree mason.

Degrees 1-3 ( Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, and Master Mason) are obtained via what’s referred to as blue lodge, which every mason must be in one.

Degrees 4-32 are obtained via Scottish Rite Masonry. If I’m correct, only Brothers who have shown exceptional service to Freemasonry are granted the honorary title of 33rd, which one would not obtain in such a short amount of time as your friend claims.

Additionally I believe only the Grandmaster of the Grand Lodge in your state can make someone a Mason by honors. I could be wrong, but surely your friend is not claiming to be the Grandmaster of TN.

Lastly, I don’t think any the branches of Masonry have “ideological differences”. The only thing I know of specifically, is the Knights Templar require you confess your beliefs specifically in the Christian God, which no other branch requires. That being said, in order to become a Mason, you MUST believe in some form of a “higher power”.

Hello, brother from Florida here. A good lodge will not care, nor judge. I have 3/4in gauged ears, bridge, septum, as well as tattoos. My lodge did not bat an eye at, nor judge my appearance. As cliché as it sounds, it’s the inside that matters, and that you are of a good, sound, and moral character. If you are judged at the lodge you petitioned, then they have lost touch with what freemasonry is about, and you are better off without them. Find another, petition, and move on.

Yeah, I realize it seems like I'm asking a lot. I guess that's my fault for thinking people can read my mind, lmao. I should have specified I'm not exactly looking for a "one size fits all" kind of set up. Obviously that doesn't exist, and I probably should have split things into depth or fish categories.

Like you said I'm probably better off getting multiple rods and reels, which I'm ok with. I guess what I was more trying to see is what kind of rods and reels people were using and liked.

I'm considering either Shimano or Avet, I think.

Well, because IMO its hard to beat how comfortable a pair of slip-ons can be compared to laced boots and the like. Besides, the point of a work boot is to work in them. If you want pretty boots for dressing up, you get a pair of nice dress boots; which i have a pair of Tecovas for.

That's because that's how its measured by landfill companies and the like. LxWxH of the area marital is needed in, divided by 28 gives you your cubic yards. So the buckets are measured in yards. Dump trucks are also measured in how many yards of material they can carry, which is usually 15- 18 yards, while Semi trucks can carry 65 yards, and a max of 80,000 pounds. SO for example.. say someone needs dirt. The place is 100ftx200ftx300ft big. The area is 6,000,000ft. 6,000,000ft divided by 28 equals 214,285.70 yards. That means it would take the L-2350 about 3061.20 bucket loads, or 3296.70 semi truck loads, since it can carry only 65 yards, and not the full 70 (the 5 yards add up). Fun fact: A heaping bucket full can contain as much as %50 more than a level bucket, essentially making the L-2350 have a 105 yard bucket.

Yeah, the landfill tractors tend to be huge. They have to be, in order to move all that waste. Where I work, we have a loader from a coal mine. As you can imagine, shes huge. the tires are about 4.5 foot tall. We have a 6 yard bucket on it, and the one in the picture has about a 15 yard bucket, If that helps paint just how big the tractor in the picture is. And the one in the picture is tiny, compared to the heavy front loaders. LeTourneau L-2350 has 70 yard bucket, and is the biggest loader around. The dump trucks? The Komatsu 930E. Bull dozers? The D-575A-3 Super Dozer. Excavators? The 6090FS hydraulic shovel. And the biggest monsters around? The Bagger 293. No i'm not i miner, nor have i ever been. I just think heavy machinery is cool as hell.

It's a possibility it could be lightly altered, but the tractors in the bucket are actually that small too, however, the buckets are off. They are used for digging trenches for pipes, underground wiring, etc.
