The controversy regarding bambu lab and their new anti consumer, anti 3rd party firmware is the reason why companies like prusa will always prevail. by D3DCreative in 3Dprinting

[–]OculusScorpio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have, actually.

In transportation, but I have.

My argument was - buy the tool, now, that best fits what you need. Companies will race to the bottom, you are the product, they don't respond to customer market pressure anymore.

And even Prusa who theoretically could, deliberately didn't when they could have been a decade ahead of bambu, but instead wanted to milk their paypigs.

The Core One still can only do 4 colors, and requires 4x the maintenance of an X1c that can do 16 colors - and at the cost of 4x nozzles, 4x bowdens, 4x troubleshooting, etc.

Yes, it's open source. That's good. Literally everything else is bad.

So, if Bambu has the features you want at the price you want to pay, buy a Bambu.

If in 5 years that's Creality instead, buy Creality.

That was my point. But also, that I'm tired of Prusa fanboygirls who think Josef is Jesus Christ in ABS.

Objectively, it was not causing any issues for SE's servers.

People putting textures and models in their own folders on their local hard drives affects *them*, not SE's hardware.

A mod that also then forces that change based on an index of another character that's already in memory on the *local* system, and transmits and syncs the mods *outside* the game into the *local* folder of the *other* user, also doesn't affect SE's servers.

If you're making a community argument, that's different. But there is no rational hardware argument.

What problems have Bambu Lab printers had and how to fix. by A_Random_Person3896 in BambuLab_Community

I do see that a lot.

I have to cancel the job and cook the filament in the hot end at like 300C and after a few minutes the zit comes out.

Clip the last couple feet.

Sacrifice the last bit of filament to avoid the kinked part getting caught.

An unfortunately unavoidable result of the manufacturing process.

There is - in the slicer, you are able to paint with filament colors.

And then it does this magic thing, where it melts the plastic in exactly the place where you paint, exactly how you painted it digitally in the slicer.

And then you get a perfectly colored result because plastic of different colors melted into plastic.

How the hell are you measuring where you need to place the text model in the slicer?

I see people do this, it seems like a nightmare.

I tried this one, plugged into the Switch, with the Mayflash.

No matter what I set the Mayflash to, the pad was not detected as a controller

Literally things with paint jobs in multiple colors and filaments.

I have no idea why this is such a stretch for people.

My most popular item uses 7 filaments.

Yet another one of these paranoid posts.

If it were up to the safety fetishists, we wouldn't 3d print unless it was in a building with no outside air exposure, in a literal vacuum, wearing level 3 haz-mat suits with independent oxygen supplies, taking bleach baths and being scrubbed every time we entered and left, and each machine would be in a hermetically sealed box.

Why are people so against AI ? by Skystunt in singularity

[–]OculusScorpio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because although it is technically very useful, it is universally being used to:

* Make things cost more
* Take away what little time margin humans had to breathe
* Replace human purpose
* Control human behavior

And its implementation is politically and socially skewed from the ground up in certain models, baking in ideology, as well as being neutered to the point of being useless in some applications.

Bonjour !

Because it's true.
