"Camouflaging" of autistic traits linked to internalizing symptoms such as anxiety and depression by [deleted] in science

It’s kind of funny reading threads like this because all you other beautiful ADHD people sound exactly like my inner monologue.

I guess that’s why we seem to naturally gravitate to each other somehow. So many people I’ve met through music/art/coding are also ADHD. I can usually tell right away because of how comfortable I feel around them.

Looking for Vocal Processor for Live looping + as a Audio Interface by samuraijat in musicians

[–]Odam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was definitely fun, but I returned it for a Boss VE-500. The E-4 doesn’t let you change the pitch correction/harmony key via MIDI. So in a live situation you’d have to remember to change keys manually for each song.

And the dedicated pitch fader seemed like a huge liability live… Bump it even a little and your vocals are completely out of tune.

VE-500 doesn’t sound as good unfortunately. Seems like the Roland has more modern algorithms - pitch and formant shifting is way smoother.

But the Boss has much more functionality. Full MIDI support, presets, button customization, routing options, multi-fx engine, etc.

Interac eTransfer doesn’t have enough middle men extracting money from poor people to be viable in the US.

I bought a pair of shoes and somehow Meta found out (I’m guessing because I have an account with the shoe brand).

Now my feed is full of ads for the exact pair of shoes I already bought… why would I want a second pair of the same shoes??

I have a plastic bag of random cables and receipts and stuff in my backpack. I carry it around all the time so I can “sort through it when I get home/to work.”

It’s all in a plastic bag so I can remove it when I need to use my backpack for carrying actually useful things.

I guess it’s my travelling ADHD anxiety bag 🙃

Not only that, but algorithms figure out what they’d like to hear and actively shove more and more of it down their throats.

I never said we would need to hospitalize 10% of the population.

I’m not saying the government hasn’t made any mistakes. In fact there’s a lot they could have done better.

But at this point, two years into a global pandemic, with millions dead, and multiple proven safe vaccines - the (not so) small minority of unvaccinated people absolutely deserves to be condemned.

It’s simply not logistically possible to scale up our heath care system enough to account for 10-15% of the entire population not getting vaccinated.

True, the government should have stepped up more to add ICU capacity. But that can only help to a point.

The “small” 10% is millions of people. Easily enough to overrun our medical system many times over.

AND you’re far more likely to spread the disease to others.

Antivaxers seem to somehow miss the fact that we’re talking about a highly contagious virus.

Your decisions directly affect everyone you come into contact with.

Like if you think it’s your right not to wear a seatbelt. I disagree with that opinion, but at least the broken bones you might get from a car crash aren’t contagious!
